SAN DIEGO SKATEBOARD PARKS:
1. Ocean Beach Skatepark

Park Terrain:
This is the largest public park in San Diego at 41,000 square feet. Pads are required along with a $30/year or $5/day (if paying $5/day, on the 7th visit, a year membership is given). They have a huge street plaza with ledges, funbox, grind rails, hips, quarterpipes, and a nice size bowl section. Two bowls come together at a spine. Each bowl has multiple hips. The entire park is concrete.
Directions:
From the 8 freeway: 8 West to Ocean Beach, make left and proceed onto Sunset Cliffs Blvd. Make right at first stop light. Make right at first stop sign. Follow path through park until it ends. Find parking and go in the skatepark. From the 5 freeway: Exit Sea World Dr. and travel west. Once onto Sunset Cliffs, follow directions from 8 freeway.
2. Narrowgate Skatepark

Street course and three mini ramps in 10,000-square-foot space. Pads and membership required.
3. Mission Valley YMCA Skatepark

Park Terrain:
50,000 sq. ft of skateable terrain. The park has a 6 ft. spine, a vert ramp, street obstacles for all levels of skating, and a big air jump. Pads are required and a membership is needed. |
