| "How are we going to get past them?" Leia said. "Well hon, we go like this." Han said pulling out his blaster and switching it to the stun setting. Han dropped the blue armored stormtrooper. "Han! Why don't you tell'em we are here?" Leia said scolding Han. "Babe, we have a clear path now." The group walked long the outside of the palace taking down any blockades or obstacles. In one of the hanger of the palace Sydnee, Leia, Mara, and Han ran for the hanger exit to find Luke and Chera. Just before they got to the door a massive, grotesque lizard creature dropped from the rafters. Leia, Mara, and Sydnee ignited their lightsabers, each one springing to life. Han pulled his blaster and fired at the monster. The bolt bounced off the creatures hide and almost hit Mara. She yelled, "Watch it sharpshooter." "Sorry Mara." Han apologized. Leia ran around to the creatures left side and Sydnee ran to the right and Mara went to the rear. They all charged at once, they didn't get very far. The beast spun around with it's tail extended. Knocking Mara, Leia, and Sydnee back the way they came. "You guys all right?" Han said running behind a downed Naboo fighter. "Does it look like we are all right?" Mara yelled sarcastically. "I'm alive." Leia replied. No answer from Sydnee. "Sydnee!" Leia yelled. No answer. "I'll find her." Leia said. "OK." Mara said. The beast was searching for something because Han could hear it sniffing the air. You want something? Well I got something for you. Han thought as he grabbed at thermal detonator and walked out from behind the Naboo fighter. "You want me? Well here I am! Come get me!" Han yelled. The creature faced Han and started walking toward him. The creature got about two meters away from Han. Han thumbed the release on the detonator and threw it at the monster. The beast chomped the thermal detonator in one swallow. "Take cover!" Han screamed running back in the direction of the fighter. He jumped and got behind the fighter in time to see the explosion. THUMP! The detonator blew up inside of the creature making it expand twice it's original size then back to normal. The bomb didn't blow the beast apart. Han thought. The creature was motionless. Mara walked up to it and stabbed it with her saber. The hole in the beasts back erupted with liquid insides. "Whoa, the detonator turned its insides to liquid. Cool." She said. Then Leia stepped out with Sydnee at her side. She had a bump on her head from the fall. "I have to find Jerik." Sydnee said running through the exit. "Wait!" Mara yelled. Caallista arrived in the royal dining room only to find Jerik, not Malice her master there. "What are you doing her?" she practically spat at the young man, he looked startled. Good. She didn't need or want some little brat wandering around. The only reason her master kept him around was because of his grandfather. "Umm... well, Malice told me to wait right here for her to come and?" "Well get moving nerf herder! She's already here! I saw her in the throne room. Malice probably went to find her. Once again we're covering up your mistakes!" "I...I...I...m sorry Callie, it's just..." Jerik began again "And don't you ever call me 'Callie' like that weakling!" she barked. Caallista was tough. The truth was that during the cloning process her DNA had been mixed with some of Palpatine's that was left over from the entire Emperor reborn fiasco, in fact, in essence, she was the Emperor reborn. Sometimes she wondered what those Jedi imbeciles would do if they knew. "Just you get in there and help him out with her! That girl is dangerous to us and what we stand for! If she had her way all our funding and resources would evaporate just like that damned ghost that you seem so attached to!? "OK OK, I'm going Calli...Caallista." Jerik exclaimed rushing out of the room. Caallista banged her hand against the desk. That boy had no respect for experience. None at all. "You cannot touch the throne of the Queen!" the man exclaimed again. Chera slowly raised her hands above her head and stepped back. Then she slowly turned around to face the man. She saw a handsome face with stunning violet eyes and jet-black hair. He also carried a lightsaber. |
