This page is dedicated to all of those people arrested on the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail between 2004 to the present.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

LIGHT RAIL ARRESTS FOR 2007(reported from 2/14/07)
Clayvon Q. Torran of Bayonne,NJ was stopped for fare evasion on 2/13/07...He was also charge with weapons possesion and drug possesion.He also had $17,000 in outstnading warrants.
Rossevelt Cumberbatch of Roselle,NJ was stopped for fare evasion on 2/17/07.while being issued a ticket for fare evasion he had a belligerent attitude toward the police and he then threw the light rail summons to the ground.The police then began to write a littering summons for Mr. Cumberbatch and then he began to fight with the officers.Besides being issued summonses for fare evasion and littering he was also charged with aggravated assault and resisting arrest.Believe it or not his bail was only $750.He did post it.
Santos Marrero of Bayonne,NJ was stopped for fare evasion.He gave the police a fake name of Victor Santos.The police realized he was lying and Mr. Marreo also had an outstading arrest warrant of $5,000 from Bayonne,NJ.He was also charged with hindering apprehension.
Otto Howard Schraff of Bayonne,NJ was stopped for fare evasion on 2/27/07.He was on the hook for a $25 warrant from Bayonne,NJ and a $100 warrant from Jersey city,NJ.This cheapo did make bail.
Lavonger Evans of Jersey City,NJ was stopped for fare evasion on 2/27/07.He was on the hook for warrants totaling $5,000 from Bayonne,Jersey City,and Union City,NJ.He was taken to the Hudson County Jail in Kearny,NJ since he wasn't able to post bail.
Glenn Gillard of Jersey City was arrested for fare evasion on 3/8/07.It was discvoered that he wa son the hook for two warrants from Bayonne,NJ and Jersey City,NJ for $3,500.He was also charged with drug possesion for having crack on him.
Damian Ruiz of Jersey City,NJ was stopped for fare evasion on 3/13/07.It was discovered that he was on the hook for a $100 warrant from Jersey City,NJ.He was then arrested.What a shame.
Khalif Freeman on Irivington,NJ was arrested for fare evasion on 3/13/07.He was also on the hook for two warrants.$300 from Newark and $180 from ELizabeth,NJ.
Joao Carlos Costa of Jersey City,NJ was stopped for fare evasion on 3/20/07.He was then arrested due to an outstanding warrant from Parsippany,NJ for $644.
Mark Carter of Jersey City,NJ was stopped for fare evasion on 3/20/07 for not having a valid fare.The police noticed his eyes were bloodshot and he admitted to smoking marijuana earlier that night.Being honest didn't keep him from being arrested as he had two oustanding warrants from Jersey City,NJ totaling $600.
Harold Lee Carroll of Bayonne,NJ appeared disoriented while aboard the light rail on 3/19/07.It was also learned by the police that he had an outstnading $100 arrest warrant from Jersey City,NJ.Besides this Mr. Carroll was also charged with drug possesion for having two 40 milligram bottles of methadone with someone elses name on it.Last but not least Mr. Carroll also becomes a famous light rail arrestee as he is now the oldest person(58 years old)to be arrested on the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail.
Rafael Martinez of Bayonne,NJ was stopped for fare evasion on 3/24/07.He was arrested after it was learned he was on the hook for $1,500 worth of warrants from Union City,and West New York,NJ.
Christopher Stewart of Jersey City,NJ was stopped for fare evasion on 3/26/07.Basically Mr. Stewart made his problem worse when he gave police a false name and he was also charged with obstruction of a govermental function.He originally told police his name was Paul Williams he had a paystub in his pocket bearing his real name.
Abdul Beckum of Jersey City,NJ was stopped for fare evasion on 3/27/07.He was arrested when it was discovered theat he had four warrants totaling nearly $5,000, as well as two bags of marijuana.
Victor Manuel Cruz III of Patterson,NJ was pulled off the train for fare evasion on 4/5/07...It was discovered that he had outstanding warrants of $444.He was then handed over to the Patterson,NJ police.Mr. Cruz makes history as he becomes the first person from Patterson,NJ to be arrested on the Hudson-Bergen-Light Rail.
Damaris Quiros of Bayonne,NJ was arrested on 4/7/07 and she had a valid light rail ticket.The police noticed her from the past for not having a valid ticket to ride.However this time she showed them the ticket and literally went into a tirade screaming at the officers and making violent gestures and even punched an officer in the face.Police were finally able to subdue and arrest her by spraying a chemical irritant in her face.She was transported to Bayonne Medical Center for decontamination and later sent to Hudson County jail in Kearny,NJ.She faces charges of aggravated assault, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct.This indeed has to be a first.
Oscar Trujilo of Bayonne,NJ was stopped for fare evasion on 4/13/07.While being written a summons for fare evasion Mr. Trujilo called someone on his cell phone and started screaming loudly.The police told him to calm down and then began violently swining his arms and kicking at the police with landed him an extra charge of aggravated assault.He was taken to Bayonne,NJ medical center after he told the police he take his bipolar medication.He was later released on bail.
Lashaunta Nash Of Jersey City,NJ was stopped for fare evasion on 4/17/07.She did not have andy identification on her but she gave police a fake name and fake social security number.She was then arrested and charged with drug possesion for having a marijua blunt in her possession.At the Bayonne,NJ police headquarters it was learned that Ms. Nash was on the hook for three arrest warrants with one of them being a no bail warrant.she was then taken to the Hudson County Jail in Kearny,NJ.
Richard Hamilton of Jersey City,NJ was stopped for fare evasion on 4/17/07.He gave the police a fake name and social security and stated to the them that he always gives them fake names.He was arrested after it was found out he was on the hook for outstanding warrants in Jersey City,NJ for $127.
George Benson of Hoboken,NJ was stopped for evasion and it was discovered that he ha d acrack pipe in his possession.While checking his identification it was discovered that he had outstanding warrants totaling $15,000.Thats indeed a record.
Moises Vasquez of Jersey City,NJ was caught with his light rail ticket being validated.He was then asked to validate his ticket bu then decided to light up a cigarette on the platform which is a no no.He was then arrested after fighting with the police and was charged with disorderly conduct.
Irving Myers of Jersey City,NJ was issued a summons for fare invasion on 5/23/07.He was arrested after an oustanding warrant was out for his arrest.He was later released on bail.
Shyrief Borders of Bayonne,NJ was stopped for fare evasion on 5/23/07.After checking his identifaction it was learned he had warrants outstanding for $71 in Jersey City,NJ and $250 from Montgomery Township.He also charged with marijuana possesion and then was taken to the Hudson County Jail in Kearny,NJ.
Deshean Elliot of Jersey City,NJ was arrested on an $800 dollar warrant from Jersey City,NJ.He originally was being cited for littering at the 22nd street light rail station in Bayonne,NJ on 5/26/07.
Walter Gilmore of Newark,NJ was stopped for fare evasion on 6/3/07.He was later turned over to the East Orange,NJ police when it was discovered that there was an open warrant on him for $640.
Jamal S. Williams of Plaifield,NJ was stopped for fare evasion on 6/6/07 and was arrested when it was discovered he had an outstanding warrant in Newark for $70.
Carlos Fontanez of Jersey City,NJ was stopped for fare evasion on 7/4/07.When cops asked what was the white powder in the bag he was carrying he admitted it was coke.He was to the Hudson County jail in Kearny,NJ.It was also discovered that he had outstanding warrants in Union City,Jersey City,and North Bergen,NJ.
Andrew Kloby of Bayonne,NJ was arrested as Bayonne,NJ police saw him staggering off the light rail.He had one bag of heroin on him and was charged with drug possesion.
Pederio Inorio of Bayonne,NJ was seen littering a large amount of paper near the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail 22nd street station.The police ran his id and it turned out he had two oustanding warrants for not appearing in court and was also charged with cocaine possesion.
Raymond West of Baltimore,MD was stopped for fare evasion on 8/15/07.But instead of pulling out any id Mr. West pulled out four burnt joints and became the second person from Baltimore,MD to be arrested on the light rail.He was charged with drug possession and possession of drug parapheernelia.
Emeral Williams was stopped for fare evasion on 9/23/07.Besides fare evasion he was also charged with govermenetal obstruction and making terrositic threats.he even gave the police 4 different names.
Darren Spencer was arrested for fare evasion and marijuana possession on 10/2/07.He also had an outstanding $100 from Bayonne,Nj municipal court.
Luis Perez of Hoboken,NJ was arrested on 10/10/07 on weapons charges for a carrying a rifle in a laundry bag while the train was riding thru Jersey City,NJ.
Joseph Bracero of Bayonne,NJ was arrested for fare evasion on 10/23/07. He was also charged with unlawful possesion of a weapon when the police noticed he was carrying a unlicensed 177-caliber Marksman Repeater BB pistol.
Light Rail Arrests for 2008
Dimitri Bazin of Brooklyn,NY was arrested for fare evasion on 4/15/08.He also had a warrant from Hoboken,NJ for $112 and was in possession of marijuana.He posted $200 bail and was released.
Peter Monticello of Bayonne,NJ was arrested for fare evasion on 5/11/08.He also had an outstanding Jersey City,NJ warrant for $2,500 and was also caught with 10 vials of cocaine. |
