| According to Maxis the makers of Sim Tower the PC version needs. -100% IBM compatible 386 and above, 486+recommended -SVGA 256-color display with appropriate Windows vidoe drivers -4MB ram -CD ROM for CD ROM version -5MB free on hard disk -Windows 3.1 or higher -Windows compateble sound card, optional Requirements I recommend -Running Sim Tower on a 486sx25 is very slow I would say a 48DX2-66 is a minimum, even with very big towers this can be slow. At the moment I am running it on a 486X/4 100MHz with 65MB ram under Windows 95. Requirements for Apple Macintosh According to Maxis -68030 or Power PC Processor -MacOS, System 7 or higher, Sim Tower is compatible with System 7.5 -256 color display -4MB RAM -5MB hard drive space Some Assitional Notes -According to Maxis, there will be no DOS version. -Sim Tower will run under OS/2 via a WIN-OS/2 session. -The CD version uses the CD of distribution only. Otherwise, it is exactly the same as the 3.5 floppy version, other than you get a bunch of demos with the CD version. |
