Book / Video / Music / Software Clubs
Fill in the order form for a few items you would like and post it. After a short time the items will arrive (you will probably have to sign for them). About a week later send the club an empty envelope, making sure you take it to the post office and receive a certificate of posting.
You will soon recieve a letter from the mail-order company informing you of the non-payment of your bill. Simply photocopy the certificate of postage and send it to them explaining that you have returned the items. Never send the real certificate - keep it safe.
If you didn't have to sign for the items, just keep them and don't pay. If you claim that they never arrived, you'll probably get a 'replacement' for free. Remember: if you don't sign, it didn't arrive!
Free Cash From The Postal Service
Talk to a friend and explain to him what you are doing, then post him a small packet and get the usual certificate of posting. After two weeks have passed, make sure the friend agrees the packet never arrived, and fill in a claim form from the postal service. Make a claim for about thirty pounds (3 music CDs should do it). After about sic weeks you'll receive a cheque for the usual maximum compensation of about twenty pounds.
