Review of Alladvantage
In March of 1999 AllAdvantage opened its doors, offering to pay websurfers to use the web while their small advertising bar is on their screen. This, along with its reliable multi-tiered referral system, has changed much about the web and web advertising. Since the inception of AllAdvantage, many other similar companies have arisen. All of these companies also pay you for the members you have referred (on top of what they receive; if a member you referred receives $1.00 and you receive 25%, you get $.25 and they get $1.00, your earnings do not cut into theirs.) and have extensive referral areas to help you advertise them and earn fairly attractive incomes for yourself, so they have certainly earned their place in the world of affiliate programs.
AllAdvantage was the original (i.e. first) company to set up a GPTS (Get Paid To Surf) scheme and their reputation is above all the other comapanies. If you looked around on the web at pages, similar to these pages, which were reviewing GPTS schemes you would find almost complete agreement that when it comes to ease of use and reliability AllAdvantage is top of the heap.
Not only do they pay out consistently but as an added bonus for UK citizens they even send out checks in local currency (GBP-£) which makes life so much easier at the bank.
The Overview...
AllAdvantage are a GPTS company so after joining and downloading the advert-program (called the "viewbar" here) what you get paid for is all the time you spend surfing with your web-browser (obviously online) whilst the viewbar is visible onscreen. It's quite a flexible viewbar which can either be docked at the top or bottom of the screen (in which case it fills the screen width) or it can be left as a free-floating window in which case it is only a couple of hundred pixels wide.
AllAdvantage limit you to 25 hours of 'surftime' a month. They pay approx. £0.30 ($0.50) per hour for your time and they require you to earn £12 by the end of a month if you are to get sent a cheque in the 'next mailing cycle' which is approx 20-30 days after the end of the month.
The upshot of this is that to get paid each month you need to have three direct referrals who each surf for the full 25 hours in addition to you surfing your own 25 hours.
So far, I have found using this service to be incredibly easy and simple to use. I have referred a few other people to this service directly and am pleased to report that I do get credited for for both my own time and theirs exactly as promised. Having read a number of impressive reports on the web about this scheme myself I am happy to say that all were true.
Additional "Plus" Points...
Extra credit goes to AllAdvantage for having the most cleanly designed and easy to understand website which is also the most responsive and reliable (that word again!) so that you can check the status of your account whenever you want. All the statistics are updated in realtime so it is always right up to date and it is simply a pleasure to use.
