. 09-11-2k | Kane & Abel to take a plea bargin?? & Mystikal lighting the radio on FIRE
Kane & Abel, who are about to go on tour to promote their latest offering, Most Wanted, are also in court. The twin brothers, who recorded for Master P's No Limit Records were the target of a Federal probe involving a New Orleans drug dealer kingpin, named Richard Pena, who is a convicted murderer, serving out a life sentence. Authorities claimed that the brothers distributed 10 Kilo's of cocaine for Pena, from November of 1996 to April of 1997, while they were under contract to Master P's No Limit Records. 09-11-2k | Master P and Method Man in Oz & Mystikal to host BET show with Outkast
First it was Master P and now it's Method Man who joins the cast from the HBO hit series Oz. A few days ago manhunt.com had mentioned that Master P was set to go to America's favorite prime time correctional facility. What I didn't know was that Method Man had also shot a few episodes as well. The good folks from Avatar record dropped me a line to give me the scoop. They noted that they are releasing a soundtrack for the controversial series which will feature some of Hip Hop's hottest acts. For more of this story click here-Propz to Manhunt.com

As we previously reported, New Orleans-based MC Mystikal has left No Limit Records and is now solely signed to Jive Records. Now comes word that another crew that parted ways with No Limit, Beats By The Pound (BBTP), produced several tracks on Mystikal's forthcoming album, Let's Get Ready To Rumble.Mystikal added that he also recorded with OutKast, with whom he first collaborated with on a track called "Neck Uv Da Woods" for The Wood soundtrack. "I knocked something down with OutKast. Neptunes, PA outta Atlanta, Bink outta the East Coast and Precise, that's about it."In related news, Mystikal, OutKast and Donnell Jones will host a Family Tree Entertainment party this Monday welcoming BET to New York City. The event takes place at Club One 51 between 8 p.m. and 3 a.m. DJ S&S will cover music for the party. Propz to www.Hookt.com-Tek

08-31-2k | Snoop Dogg Showing Strength
"Woof..." Despite rumors that he and his mentor, Dr. Dre, were the targets of a Suge Knight-backed ambush at last week's ill-fated Source Awards, Snoop Dogg is flourishing where it counts: On the charts. The first release from his Dogg House record label, Snoop Dogg Presents Tha Eastsidaz, is certified gold and gained five spots to claim No. 64 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart this week. Snoop's second release from No Limit, No Limit Top Dogg, is also inching its way back up the charts. The album jumped sixteen positions this week to No. 65. The platinum album has been on the charts for a year, one week and six days. The video for the third single from Top Dogg, "Down 4 My N's," features C-Murder and Mr. Magic. In the song, C-Murder makes it clear that anyone that has a problem with Snoop... has a problem with No Limit. Interestingly, Snoop doesn't perform in the video although his vocals do appear on the LP version.
Props to: SnoopsDoggHouse.com. - D Soldier

08-25-2k | Krazy Talks No Limit, Master P & Album
As we previously reported, Master P's No Limit Records have been undergoing a bit of a Renaissance as of late. With a new production team (Souljah Productions) behind them, newly signed emcee Krazy is helping to usher in the new era of No Limit. Read the interview by

08-24-2k | Fights break out at Source awards

Snoop disses No Limit? Snoop Dogg who is on the cover of the
new issue of XXL magazine, in which he says' "After I get done
with the "Last Meal" I 'm gonna lookk for the best label for me,

Next 504 Single
I heard the radio version recently and it looks like the next single
from the 504 boyz will be 'Souljas" which features RBX,Snoop,
M.P. & Crazy. Propz to Daniel Bell Wall of Sound 504 Review
Da 504 Boyz Goodfellas Label: No Limit/Priority Genre: Rap,
Hip-Hop File Under: Wobbling Rating: 57 At first listen, "Wobble
Wobble" sounds suspiciously like the other popular New
Orleans rap label. Its textured, karaoke-style synthesizers are an
aberration; most of Goodfellas sticks to the staccato keyboard
fills that have become a No Limit trademark, even if the beat, in
keeping with popular trends, advances at fewer beats per
minute than before. "Beefing," produced by Suga Bear and
Penitentiary — P's infamous Beats by the Pound clique, which
once produced all of No Limit's albums, was dismantled last
year — is a slow-rolling throwback to the bass-heavy gangsta
hits of yesteryear. Other tracks, such as "Whodi" and "Big Toys,"
burble with No Limit's standard aggressiveness — courtesy of
Master P, Silkk the Shocker, Mystikal, C-Murder, Mac, and a
host of newcomers — but with more reserve and less abandon.
If Goodfellas doesn't impress as much as that other group of
New Orleans hot boys, Cash Money, it isn't due to mimicry, but
to mediocrity. Like Beats by the Pound, Master P's new
conglomerate, Soulja Productions and C-Los Beats, is
hampered by its mass production tendencies — finding a
successful template ("Wobble Wobble") and duplicating it
several times. Goodfellas is a tedious exercise with a handful of
interesting tracks. And let's face it, bragging at the start of your
album about how much your hot new rapper (Krazy) sounds like
Tupac Shakur isn't going to win you points for originality. It may
be an audacious tactic, but it won't help Master P and No Limit's
image as an assembly line rap company. Propz to Daniel Bell

C-Murder Sets Date For Third Solo LP
No Limit rapper and 504 Boyz member C-Murder is set to
release his third solo album, "Trapped In Crime," on July 11. The
23-song album, the first release on C-Murder's own Tru Records
label, will feature guest appearances by Snoop Dogg, Master P,
Silkk The Shocker, Krazy, Nuance, DIG, and Tha Eastsidaz.
Production chores will be handled by Carlos Stephens (C-Los
Beats), Suga Bear, Deadly Sounds' producers XL, LT and
Kenoe, DJ Ron of Soulja Productionz, and KLC, among others.
Judging from song titles, C-Murder will once again deliver the
Southern gangsta rap heard on two albums with his group Tru,
including 1997's double-platinum "Tru 2 Da Game," and his two
solo albums: the million-selling "Life Or Death," and 1999's
"Bossalinie"). Song titles for "Trapped In Crime" include "They
Want My Money," "Down For My Igga," "Damned If They Murder
Me," "Concrete Jungle," and "On Da Block."

Snoop's Last Meal Leaked on the Net
Snoop Dogg's forthcoming album, Last Meal, has been leaked
on the Internet. However though, this is no where the near the
finished album. The bootleg only contains tracks by Dogghouse
Production and none of the songs were finally mixed or are
guaranteed to make it on the album. The official Last Meal is
scheduled to be released on July 4th. It will also include
production by Dr. Dre and an NWA track with Mc Ren, Ice Cube
and Dre. The Lady of Rage and Nate Dogg are also scheduled
to make appearances on the album. The album is scheduled to
include production by Timbaland and Swizz Beatz and a
collaboration with Eve, too. In related Snoop news, Snoop Dogg
Presents Tha Eastsidaz has been certified platinum and is
currently # 96 on this week's Soundscan. Snoop and Tha
Eastsidaz are scheduled to release a straight to video movie
entitled Tha Eastsidaz. It will depict their lives growing up in
Long Beach, California.

The Comeback?
Well it seems the NL curse is beggining to strike Da 504 Boyz
as well, they're about to fall from the #2 spot on the billboard
charts down to #8, as most of you NL fans know, huge drops in
sales from the first week are not uncommon for NL Records, the
question now is whether they will continue to fall or be bumped
back up by the next single. Elroy Jetson, otherwise known as
Eminem, will release his next album this Tuesday, for everybody
who doesn't already own it. Fuckin bitch was talking shit bout
downloadin hitz, makes me wanna go over there n bust up his
lips. Say what you want? Shit you're just a hater, your new album

twirl-Wow! where did that come from?

USA TODAY Give BT 2 1/2 Stars
Big Tymers, I Got That Work (* * 1/2) On most Cash Money
records, the Big Tymers (co-CEO Bryan "Baby" Washington
and producer Manny Fresh) provide comic relief with their trash
talking. They do a little more than that on this album, particularly
on anthemic first single Get Your Roll On, but they still rely on one
or more, and sometimes all, of the Hot Boys to do most of the
rapping. But with Fresh's ever-sizzling beats providing the
bounce, you don't mind much if it's Juvenile and Lil' Wayne who
carry the boastful #1 Stunna or the edgy Hard Life. No matter
who is delivering the rhymes, Cash Money always seems to
have a way with a catch phrase and a knack for grooves that
keep heads bobbing.

Cash Money's BIG TYMERS Release I Got That Work
Cash Money/Universal Records release the BIG TYMERS'
sophomore album, I Got That Work, recently. The lead single,
``Get Your Roll On,'' is being played on key radio stations across
the country, such as WHTA in Atlanta, GA, KKDA in Dallas, TX,
WJLB in Detroit, MI, and WQUE in New Orleans, LA. The video
is in heavy rotation on BET and The Box and it's receiving
favorable airplay on MTV. The BIG TYMERS is comprised of
Mannie Fresh, Cash Money Records' resident super-producer --
the force behind the label's gold and platinum successes
including Juvenile's quadruple platinum-selling 400 Degreez --
and Bryan ``Baby'' Williams, co-CEO of Cash Money Records.
The New Orleans natives made their debut in 1997, when they
appeared on fellow rapper, B.G.'s regional underground classic,
It's All On U Vol. 2. The result was so good, that Mannie and
Baby teamed up and created the BIG TYMERS. In 1998, the duo
came to national attention with their gold-certified Universal
debut, How You Luv That. Audiences across the country have
already designated the BIG TYMERS blazing new single ``Get
Your Roll On'' as their party anthem for the year 2000. The song
is a 70's-inspired groove that Mannie tweaks to perfection.
``We've been performing 'Get Your Roll On' on tour around the
country,'' explains Mannie. ``The audience response has been
so strong that we decided to do it as a single.''

Los Angeles Times Give New BT 2 Stars
** BIG TYMERS, "I GOT THAT WORK," CASH
MONEY/UNIVERSAL. The second album from the New
Orleans-based duo of Bryan "Baby" Williams and Mannie Fresh
revisits familiar lyrical and musical territory, hitting the mark on
several selections but overall coming off as an average piece of
work. Williams (who co-owns Cash Money) and Fresh (the
label's exclusive producer) are far better as guest rappers
contributing a verse here and there to someone else's song than
as lead characters. Label-mates Juvenile, Lil' Wayne and B.G.
are far superior rappers, and their presence on half of the
album's 18 songs is helpful. Although the three harp on their
materialistic spoils, sexual prowess and lower-class struggles,
their lyrics show deeper imagination and variety than those of
either Williams or Fresh. It's not that Williams and Fresh lack
confidence--they can be as self-congratulatory as anyone in
hip-hop. But on "I Got That Work" (due in stores Tuesday) they
don't show the skills to back up that arrogance.

P Still A No Show
Master P was still a no show at the last Seagulls game where
they finally won, attendance has been at extremely low levels
averaging less than 250 per game, Master P was signed to see
if he could raise attendance, but the only game he's appeared in
was the season opener. After winning 3 straight championships
the Seagulls are now struggling for each win.

P on the Big Screen:
rap star Master P makes an appearance alongside Academy
Award winners Nicholas Cage and Angelina Jolie in the
upcoming Touchstone Pictures film "Gone in 60 Seconds",
which opens nationwide on June 9th; P plays the role of Cage's
nemesis who runs a competing auto-theft ring.

Skull
Skull Drugery, former No Limit Soldier, is getting ready to
release his album Coming June 6, 2000. As you may recall, he
has attempted to leave No Limit once before, then released his
album with NL at the last minute. Look for this backstabber to try
something like that again.

Support 504
504 Boyz sold 139,012 copies in just the first week, let's keep
this trend going, by getting more people to buy the album if you
already got it, then go get it for your grandma or something she
can't hear anyway, tell her it's classical music.

Seagulls Struggling/ Where's P?
ATLANTIC CITY -- The faces change almost daily, so at least
the losing stays fresh for the Atlantic City Seagulls. On Thursday,
the latest version stayed close but lost 100-99 to the previously
winless Long Island Surf in a United States Basketball League
game at the Adrian Phillips Ballroom of Boardwalk Convention
Hall. Atlantic City, the three-time defending USBL champion,
dropped to 2-10, and the Surf won for the first time in nine
games. "We had a chance to win it,'' Atlantic City coach Rick
Ross said. "As a coach, you can only ask to be in the game at
the end. We played hard. "This game is indicative of the season.
Just because we're 2-10 doesn't mean the season is over. Until
somebody takes the championship away from us at the end of
the road, we're still the champs.'' Former North Carolina Tar
Heel Brian Reese had 31 points for the Surf, and Chudney Gray
added 26. Mike Lloyd led the Seagulls with 36 points. Atlantic
City was out-rebounded 21-7 on the offensive glass and turned
the ball over 24 times. LaMarr Greer, the former Middle
