Removing the ads from appearing on the AIM Buddy List.
1. Go to your AIM directory (c:\program files\aim95\) or wherever you installed AIM to.
2. Delete the file "advert.ocm".
3. Rename the file "admin.ocm" to "advert.ocm".
4. That's it!
Cloning
Cloning aim is very simple. You will first need to download a hex editor. I recommend getting a program called ultra edit from here.Open aim.exe with a hex editor and look for _Oscar_AppMutex and change it to: _Oscar_001Mutex. Sometimes for the clone to work you will need to make a copy of your old aim directory and put the new clone you made into the new directory.
