Worms:
Not all dogs have worms,but that doesn't mean they shouldn't be checked for them regularly. If your dog doesn't have the signs,that's no reason why they couldn't get them,or have them. Worming medicanes and poisions are desined to kill the worms. And anything strong enough to kill the worms could be strong enough to kill the dog. The medicanes might even irritate the dog's digestive system,or even kill them! Worms are not caused by dogs eating ice cream,chocolate, or even sugar!\

Dieseases:
Your dog may also need to be brought to the vet for regular injections against rabies,leptosiporosis,distemper,and other common dieseases in theese dogs. In the first year,they'll need 2 injections,but in the other years,only 1 injectionwill be needed.

Earmites:
If your dogs ear's have a smell to them, or are firery red,your dog probably has ear mites. Ear mites are serious. Other signs your dog has ear mites are consistant scratching,couging,a poor appetit, a swollen stomache, vommiting,rough or dry skin, skin sores,lumps under the skin, nervousness,or any strange behavior.

Grooming:
Bathe your dog regularly,Brush his coat with a bistle brush EVERY day, Nail clipping(which should be done at the vet to insure safety of you and your pet),teeth cleaning every every few days. If you decide not to grroom your Shar Pei on your own,there are many pro's who will do it for the "right" price!
