Welcome to the Official Tourist Website for Portrush.
A short Introduction to Portrush
Portrush is a small coastal town in Northern Ireland. Unfortunately it cannot be said to be an area of natural beauty, and although there aren't any major tourist attractions, gourmet restaurants, award winning theatres or shops of any sort other than those aimed at American tourists looking for tacky souvenirs...every year at least 25 people visit its stony shores, and no, they are not all just passing through.
We have a picture here of the two people who stayed for longer than a day:
NB: These two people have recently been identified as suspects wanted for grevious bodily assault, attempted robbery and various other offences. If seen they are not to be approached and the local authorities should be notified immediately.
The locals
The locals in Portrush are often extremely friendly and may almost always be approached safely, I would, however, suggest you avoid exciting them by neglecting to mention that you are from out of town, they have not seen "real" people in quite a while.

Things to do:
Unfortunately, Portrush does not cater very well for tourists and there is infact nothing to do here - unless you want to pick up rubbish on the beach.
This is all there is to know about Portrush, following in this series of websites will be Comber, Newtownards and Anahilt.
