Sewing with Natural Fibres
Cotton doesn't stretch or slip as the pattern is cut out or stitched together. The fabric takes dyes well and is very strong when wet. It wrinkles if not blended with a synthetic fiber. Linen has a natural lustre, is cool, and very strong. Linen wrinkles easily and doesn't take dyes very well. Silk is a strong, expensive, and very lightweight fabric. For easiest sewing, choose a silk fabric with a certain degree of body. Wool is the warmest and most absorbent of all fabrics. Wool can be molded into any shape.
