Battle Arena
-------------

The Battle Arena is the source of many useful items in the world of Final Fantasy VII. It is worth spending your time in it. But things will get difficult if you don't know how to manage the enemies. Here I present you a full guide to be the winner in the Battle Arena. To fight at the Battle Arena, I will recomend the following stuff, although some of them aren't really necessary. I write from most to less important:
Level 50+

A couple or one Mastared HP+

Materia
500+ GP (You need to fight a lot of battles...)

Ribbon

Good armor (Ziedrich, Escort Guard or Aegis Armlet are my choices)

Good weapon (Ultimate Weapons if you can)

Fullcure (It will came in handly in desasperated ocasions)

Enemy Skill with Big Guard
Bahamut ZERO or Ultima
Mime

Optional (but nice):
Added Effect + Hades or Poison
Quadra Magic + Bahamut ZERO or Ultima
Knights of the Round

There are some enemies that need to be careful:

8Eyes - Very strong enemy, but BIO is sudden death to them (that's why you need Added Effect + Hades or Poison). Tonenberry - While it keeps a distance from you but it will come closer until you kill it. If it gets to close he can use death-like attack. Ghost Ship - It can use an attack called Gannai which will not kill you but simply throw you out of battle. Kill it as quickly as possile. It is concidered dead so you may use holy magic on it.
After equiping this stuff to Cloud (or whoever you chose to fight) talk to the woman on the front desk. When you enter the arena, you should cast enemy skill BIG GUARD on yourself. This casts Barrier/MBarrier/Haste. After an acceleration of speed you should attack with ULTIMA then MIME the attack afterwards. This helps when there are multiple enemies as well as single enemies. After winning the battle you can either take all the BP you have or fight another battle. Say you decide to fight again a slot machine will spin a handicap. Any of the following:

Lucky 7 - No handicap

Cure - Cure 1 on character

Stopwatch - Character's HP is lowered depending on how much time you spend fighting. Cannot kill character. Boot - SLOW on character

Frog - FROG on character

Shrunken Cloud - MINI on character

Poison - Character poisoned

Sword - Weapon broken. Attack is now based on initial weapon (ie Buster Sword). Armlet - Armor broken. Vitality is now based on character (does not include armor effects like protection from an element).

Bracelet - Accessory broken.
Accessory loses property.

Item Bag - Items broken. No items may be used.

Green Ball - Magic Materia broken. Can't use magic.

Red Ball - Summon Materia broken. Can't use summon.

Blue Ball - Support Materia broken. Blue materias lose effect. Purple Ball - Independent Materia broken. Purple materias lose effect. Yellow Ball - Command Materia broken. Yellow materias lose effect. 5

Multicolor Balls - All Materia broken.

Most handicaps are easy to fight with anyway. Ribbon protects you from poison, MINI and FROG. BIG GUARD cast HASTE, so SLOW isn't a big deal. Even MAGIC is not too tragic if you mimed ULTIMA like I told you to. Continue fighting until the last round. It is faster now just to use a single ATTACK rather than ULTIMA specially if you have DOUBLECUT.
AND THE WINNER IS...
Hopefully you won all 8 battles and recieved some BP for your trouble and a "tissue" (Holy Damn Crap...). The amount of BP recieved depends on how tough the battles were. You could recieve anything from 500 to 15000 BP. You can now either spend your hard-earned BP or fight again to gain more. If you decide to spend it here is a list of what you can get.

Remedy - 100 (cures all status ailments)

Enemy Lure - 250 (increases enemy encounter)

Right Arm - 500 (explosive damage on all opponents

Pre-Emptive - 1000 (increases pre-emptive encounters

Reagan Greens - 2000 (when you want a chocobo...)

Speed Plus - 4000 (increases speed during battle)

Stardust - 8000 (cast COMET2)

Championchip Belt - 16000 (strengh and spirit 30+)

Omnislash - 32000 (learn Limit Skill Omnislash)

W-Summon - 64000 (summon 2 times per turn)

TRY, TRY AGAIN.
If you did not win the battle you lost all earned BP for those fight (don't worry about losing any previously earned BP). You recieve a tissue for it. Remember losing makes you stronger. You learn from mistakes and find out what your weakness and work upon it. Sometimes battle can become impossible to defeat. For example, losing use of items, accesories, then magic, then being shrunk is impossible (I not making this one up, it happened to me).

GETTING OMNISLASH
Omnislash is not too hard to get. Keep in mind that you need ALOT of spare time (like maybe 2 or 3 hours). You also need about 150 GP to keep fighting. Just keep the same setup as above and you'll be fine.
GETTING W-SUMMON
W-Summon is very useful in any fight. It is your choice to get it, but it is a vital factor for fighting the Weapons. As above, protect your self with BIG GUARD and keep fighting. At 64000 BP this will take a good amount of time. If you get more than 64000 BP read below before getting W-Summon.

THE SPECIAL BATTLE
This battle is if you have 65000 BP. If you want to get W-Summon you may do so. Infact it might help just make sure you have no less than 65000 BP since this will cause the game to think you have not gained that much and you will not be elligible for the special battle.
The Special battle consist of some of the toughest enemies in the game. Fortunately only 1 enemy appears at the screen at a time. Even so, some enemies are so difficult, they can only be found in the deeper parts of the Northern Cave. Keeping that in mind you are ready to fight the special battle.
The only thing that you should change is the Ultima mimic trick. That's only useful if you have more than in which case there is only 1 enemy in the screen at a time it is cut down battle time if you just attack also since 2XCUT does not need to be mimed you can heal yourself without breaking the chain. As for the rest the battle is straight foward. But...
In the last battle is the meanest regular enemy you'll ever face, Proud CLod. While the mention of his name may strike fear into some of your hearts he has lost have of his attacks and his strongest now can only cause about 1000 damage even on his best days. If you have learned Omnislash(saying you have Cloud in battle) it will surely make him bleed. Too bad you don't get to see him flash away afterward.
Good job, you now recieved Final Attack. If you decide to take on the battle again you will recieve the following:

2nd Try - Dio's Autograph (trash)
3nd Try - A Journal (also trash)
4th Try - The Gambler (and this again, also trash)
