THE BOTTOM LINE:(Mar.7)
It really doesn't make any sense does it?
The Sens came into the league the same year as the Lightning on a totally equal basis, and now 7 years later, look at the difference. Shouldn't the Lightning be the ones in financial trouble.Their top scorer is who? Darcy Tucker?
Anyway, right now the Sens are coasting, having their best year by far. They have already passed last years win total.
GOALIES: The Sens are the only team in the league that uses a different goalie for almost every game. Damian Rhodes and Ron Tugnutt's playing time this season differs by only 8 minutes. Tugnutt is currently posting a 1.66 goals against, and is enjoying an all star season.Rhodes has been equally solid.
THE EUROPEANS:The whole team? Not quite. However they certainly make up about 60% of the team. Johannson,Arvedson and Dackell have had productive seasons, switching between the 1st,2nd and 4th lines. Marian Hossa is a very promising 20 year old,who fits in well with the team. Vaclav Prospal is another key to the future. Alfredsson has had a rough year battling injuries, but the Sens hope he will find his game by the playoffs. Sami Salo is a rookie blue liner who has a very hard shot, and a cool name.
THE VERY BOTTOM LINE:
This is a team you do not beat easily or laugh in the same sentence as their name anymore.
