&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&
This is a very sweet letter
from someone on this site.
It really made me feel good.
Although I started this site
for mostly personal reasons,
I am glad I can help others
who are searching4you.
Thanks for this sweet
Letter below Carol.
&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&
Dear Carolyn,
  Thank-you for putting
me on your site!!!
Sorry to hear about your illness
& pray you are doing better!!!!
I want to thank-you for having
this site available to those
of us who are searching, it is
a very kind thing!! It is such
a hard thing to deal with as
nobody seems to believe that
us adoptees have any rights.
 Thanks again & God bless!!
      Carol S.

Dear Carol,
I thank you for the sweet
letter, it really made me feel
great. You are so sweet to write
to me and say all of the sweet

A POEM FOR BIRTH MOM'S
I think the following poem
says it all for all the
birthmothers and perhaps
it can give a little
understanding to the adoptees..

It was the hardest thing
in life,
She ever had to do.
She was too young to bear
a child,
But had to see it through.
There was no option in
her mind,
The baby would be carried.
It didn't matter what they
said,
Because she wasn't married.
The only thing she thought
about,
That really was an option.
Should she take the baby home,
Or give it for adoption?
.....Agonizing in her mind,
Worried to a fray.
Finally realizing,
She must give the child away.
Life is never easy,
With the roads we choose to take.
We have to live forever,
With the choices that we make.
Later on in life she married,
And began her home.
Raising her new family,
Till the children were
all grown.
Always haunted in her mind,
With her children there.
She also had a daughter,
But she didn't know just where.
She had to find her daughter,
For her life to be complete.
And wondered how she would react,
When they would finally meet.
Would she ever find her,
And what would her daughter say?
Would she want to see
the woman,
Who gave her away?

THANKS AGAIN TO
GERT WALLACE FOR THIS
POEM THAT SAYS A LOT
TO US BIRTH MOTHERS.

LAURA'S HAPPY LETTER ON
FINDING HER SON
Dear Carolyn,
Thank you for your page
and thank you for getting
the information input. I
am delighted to say that
on Tuesday, July 13th 1999
I connected with my son's
adopted sister. He is alive,
well, and doing great! Plus
I have a seven year old
grandson. Peace of mind has
come at last! Thank you Lord!
What a relief! My son is in
the service and is over seas
for at least 4 months. Can't
even let him know yet his
adopted sister and me are in
contact, but that is OK after
33 years yesterday (July 21st)
I can wait a little longer.
Just knowing he is fine makes
me HAPPY. My thoughts and
prayers go with you on your
search for your daughter. If
I can ever help let me know.
My new email address is
LPederse@Ethus.JNJ.com.
I am helping a friend find
her son. I Will get her
information put on your
list in the next day or so.
Thanks and God Bless,
Laura Estes Pedersen

*This poem was
sent to me by
Theresa, my good
friend. her info.
is listed under
the month of August.
Unfortunatly, Theresa
is no longer listed. She
found her birth mom who
for reasons we know not,
does not want contact with
her. But she is in contact
with some of her siblings.

*God Made You For A Reason*
When I look upon my
screen I find a happy reason
The joy that comes to me
from you is gratitude so
very pleasing......
What a wonderful creator
that made a friend like you,
He placed a sweet kind
person and gave me lots
of comfort too.....
A world without your
kindness would be a
sad,sad world. But I
don't have to worry,
There's no need to be,
because of you I am
very happy, and that's
good enough for me....
I've found great people
everywhere, they come
into my life. Just
like you, all those
others too, have given
me delight. So I thank
God I met you,....
I thank him for all
seasons. Now I know
for sure with all my
heart, GOD Created
YOU for a reason....
&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&
This was sent to me from
an adoptive father. I
found it very touching:
I want to start by
saying what you people
are doing is great and
keep up the good work.
I have an adopted daughter
one of many and I want to
send you her web page and
I think you will find it
very rexarding to read
and in the section-
service men she tells a
small part of my story.
The page is a blessing
to me and has done her
a lot of good in turning
her life around and I
thank God every day for
her giveing her to me.
Thank you, the proud
father of Tlynn Frank.

As most of you know Erma
Bombeck is deceased, but
what a beautiful legacy
she has left us. Please
read this wonderful letter.
IF I HAD MY LIFE TO LIVE OVER
By Erma Bombeck
I would have talked less
and listened more. I would
have invited friends over
to dinner even if the
carpet was stained and the
sofa faded.
I would have eaten the
popcorn in the 'good'
living room and worried much
less about the dirt when
someone wanted to light a
fire in the fireplace.
I would have taken the
time to listen to my
grandfather ramble about
his youth.
I would never have insisted
the car windows be rolled
up on a summer day because
my hair had just been teased
and sprayed. I would have
burned the pink candle
sculpted like a rose before
it melted in storage.
I would have sat on the
lawn with my children and
not worried about grass stains.
I would have cried and
laughed less while watching
television - and more while
watching life.
I would have shared more of
the responsibility carried
by my husband.
I would have gone to bed when
I was sick instead of
pretending the earth would go
into a holding pattern if I
weren't there for the day.
I would never have bought
anything just because it was
practical, wouldn't show soil
or was guaranteed to last a
lifetime. Instead of wishing
away nine months of pregnancy,
I'd have cherished every
moment and realized that the
wonderment growing inside me
was the only chance in life
to assist God in a miracle.
When my kids kissed me
impetuously, I would never
have said, "Later.  Now go
get washed up for dinner."
There would have been more
"I love yous".. more "I'm
sorrys"... but mostly, given
another shot at life,  I
would seize everyminute...
look at it and really see it..
live it...and never give it back.
  --In memory of Erma Bombeck
who lost her fight with cancer.

Dear Carolyn: I found
my son by obtaining the
birth records (names)
of all of the children
born on his birthdate
in the county, city,
and state where he was
born.
To do this, I mailed
a check for $25 to the
capital city of that
state to the dept.
of health and requested
a "BIRTH LIST " and the
"SUPPLEMENTAL LIST". It
took about 3 weeks.
I matched numbers times
of birth. I was lucky
because I had a copy of
the original Birth
Certificate. They are
supposed to be destroyed
agter the adoption but
his was NOT !!!!!
The counties are listed
by numbers. After I found
his name, I got on the
internet and searched
for that name. There
were 14 all over the
country. He is in KANSAS.
Best of luck!
Please let me know if
this helps. VICKI

*THANKS TO GERT WALLACE
FOR THIS BEAUTIFUL PRAYER
I FIND THAT SOME OF MY
BEST FRIENDS ARE IN MY
LITTLE METAL BOX ALSO...
Every evening as I'm laying
in bed,this tiny little
prayer keeps running through
my head. God bless my mom
and dad, And bless my
little pup And look out
for my brother and sister
too when things aren't
looking up. And God,there's
one more thing,I wish
you could do.Hope you
don't mind my asking,
But please bless my
computer too. Now I
know that's not normal
To bless a mother board
But just listen a second,
While I explain to you,
My Lord,You see,that
little metal box Holds
more to me than odds and
ends Inside those small
compartments Rest some
of my BEST FRIENDS
Some,it's true I've never
seen And most I've never met
We've never exchanged hugs
Or shared a meal as yet
I know for sure they like me
By the kindness that they give
And this little scrap of
metal is how I travel to
where they live By faith
is how I know them
Much the same as you
I share in what life brings
them From that our
friendship grows PLEASE,
take an extra minute
From your duties up above
To bless this scrap of metal
That's filled with so much love!
&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&
*ALSO FROM THERESA
HOPE
It's magic and it's free
It's not in a prescription
It's not in an IV.
It punctuates out laughter,
It sparkles in our tears,
It simmers under sorrows,
And dissipates our fears.
Do you know what Hope is?
It's reaching past today,
It's dreaming of tomorrow,
It's trying a new way,
It's pushing past impossible
It's pounding on the door,
It's questioning the Answers,
It's always seeking more,
It's rumors of a breakthrough,
It's whispers of a cure,
A roller coaster ride
Of remedies, unsure.
Do you know what Hope is?
It's candy for the soul,
It's perfume for the spirit,
To share it, makes you Whole.
Theresa
