At the begining,you will be given a Pikachu.Your rivil will have a Eevee. remember to take out the potion from the PC at your
house.Eevee's Tackle attack is deadly! After that, go get Oak's parsil,get the pokedex,and raise your pokemon up levels.
Pikachu is hard to raise , so fight alot of people.For brock, You should have a Butterfree , a Mankey , nidoran male and female ,Pidgy and Pikachu.having them at L:10 and up is hard,but it will work.

In Mt.Moon,make sure you catch a Geodude and a Sandshrew. You'll need them for
Lt.Surge.Also,try and catch 2 Clfairys.One to trade for Mr.Mime and one to evlove.
This is the onle place to catch Clfairy in yellow.To get out,go all the way to the
top.Turn left,go down,left,and up past the guy by the ladder.go in the ladder.
Now just follow the the wall down,beat the guy and get the fossil,fight Team Rocket,
go out the ladder and you're out!

Next is misty. al yo need is a L:20 pikachu and a L:20 butterfree.
you beat misty!now go get bulbasaur from the house.then go up nugget bridge, got charmander (where a man is standingby a pokeball) walk right and go in the house at the end of thr path.
help bill out, get the S.S. anne ticket and go all the way back down.
(by now pikachu should be at L:23-25). the cop by the door willo be
mooved. go in the house and come out the other end.fight the guy
ahd you get dig.go down the path (put a weak pokemon in the daycair if you want)
and go in the Small house (not the big one). when you come out
the other end,go down untill you get to the city.

next..Lt.Surge!
he's VERY hard to beat in yellow. he has one L:28 raichu.
if you got a geodude (graveler) in Mt.moon , and he's at L:25-30, you
should beat him easy.if not, put a L:25 (and up) pokemon in the
first slot, buy a REPEL at the mart ($350),and go to diglett's cave.
Now use the repel. walk around until you find the L:29 Dugtrio!
you should be able to beat Surge with him.
