Here you will find resources
on the "net" that will enhance knowledge
of health and health-related subjects.

For example, as a registered member
of Dr. Koop's Newsletter,
one can look up drug interactions.

It is a good idea to research
all medications
you or your elderly loved one
have been prescribed.

Do not be afraid
to check with your doctor
if any questions arise,
especially concerning your elderly loved one.

If a doctor tells you to
"trust the professionals" and
and refuses to answer your questions,
find another doctor!

This is especially true when an elderly person
is involved, as special precautions are necessary
with elderly patients
as their ability to metabolize medications
can be effected by their age and fraility,
as well as interactions with other medications.
