Ash will battle Lance at some kind of league. My guess is the Orange Island League, because the comic book (my Toshihiro Ono) is full of spoilers.

For those of you who haven't seen Pokemon the movie 200 yet, Misty gives BIG TIME hints that she likes Ash. Examples:

When Melody kissed Ash, Misty was TOTALLY ticked off. After that she acted like she practically hated Melody.
