(Note: The emcees take turns in speaking. They don't have to adhere religiously to what is suggested herein, as this is just meant to be a guide. They can say these thoughts in their own words, may improvise, ad lib, memorize, or read them outright. They should make the pageant interesting, and emphasize the elegance, magnificence, spectacle or grandeur associated with this pageant. At home they may read notes about the Santa Cruzan in the letters I sent the group months ago to become familiar with the significance of the event until they become experts in their own right and can discuss before or to an audience with ease and confidence.)

Kayla, as you all know, is the reigning Miss Teen World, the title she earned for Canada in the Miss Teen World Contest held in London last year. With her on the stage are the ten lovely muses, they represents ten of the Filipino associations in our state. Their participation is a reflection of the unity and solidarity Filipinos enjoy here in Oregon. It is as well a display of their love for their cultural heritage too, in as much as the Santa Cruzan Pageant is one. It speaks of the goodwill and cooperation we Filipinos in this great state of Oregon have for one another! And below the stage, in all their splendor, and portraying real visions of loveliness, are the beauty queens of the Aguman.
