NOTE TO CYNDAQUIL AND HOOHOO- DON'T EVER DELETE THIS PAGE!!!!!
6/30/00 - L@@K NOW!!! - Totodile
About 2 weeks ago, the new Nintendo power magazine came to my house and as usual, I went directly to the pokemon section and started to read the interview that nintendo power had with the makers of pokemon at the E3 convention and there was some interesting stuff but most of it was actually pretty boring, untill I got about halfway through reading it, then nintendo power asked a question something like how do you come up with new pokemon, then I don't remember exactly what they said, but the exact phrase = "We usually come up with hundreds of new species but most of them get cut in the development" so then I kinda went frantic, wondering what those new species were, trying to figure out how I could possibly find out their names or even better, what they look like!! I called Cyndaquil and asked him how I could probably figure out how to do this and how I could probably contact Those pokemon makers, so then I went to the internet and searched all of the nintendo based chat rooms, went to yahoo and manually typed in every name of the makers of pokemon one at a time and found nothing, I even found a way to go to the jap version of yahoo.com and did that over again, so then I am losing hope and feeling really bummed out, then I realized "why don't I at least try to call nintendo of america, and the receptionist was really nice and said that she might be able to get a message to the makers of pokemon and asked me what I wanted to tell them and what my address was but I asked if I could give my EMAIL address and that was ok , and she wrote everything down word for word and believe me, I really talked her head off! And here I am earlier today doing nothing when I check my email cause I was really bored and I see a letter with the subject "pokemon" and I open it up and after about 5 minutes of loading the pics because of my slow computer a huge smile comes on my face after seeing them and after reading the letter.
AND HERE IS THE LETTER THAT THEY EMAILED ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
To Calvin, in regards to your request that we got in care of the Nintendo hotline, we did manage to find a few cut pokemon species that we had not yet destroyed yet, however, get ready to be disappointed because they arent going to be what you probably expected because if we cut them then they must be pretty bad! Some of the species that we cut will not be shown to you however because we might use them in the future. We are quite impressed at the collection that you described of every made product except for some Japanese promotional cards. About what you said that you especially wanted to know, about digletts body, first we were very surprised that anyone remembered about that still, but we can not show you that seeing as how he will be in the next version, however good job on spotting that in the episode! We didnt know what exactly you wanted, so we kind of gave you a group of cut species and also showed you what some of the species looked like before we made slight changes etc. Here they are
At first ideas, we were going to start Venonats life out as a larvae but he looked to much like a sushi fish! And as you can see, Gastly looked very different at first. And the tadpole was going to be poliwags under evolution. And the rest here are simply non related to any others. None of these species have names because they were cut so early but the odd grey dancing thing did get a name and his name roughly translates to Griffen into The English language and he would most likely been called Griff in the American games, and the fish with the single antennae was going to be the water starter and it's evolutions are here too. And because you are the first fan to care enough about pokemon to actually try to contact us, which like you said must have been very hard, we have kept your email address to send you stuff as we see fit.
AND HERE ARE THE PICTURES (I ENLARGED THEM SOME SO YOU COULD SEE THEM BETTER ESPECIALLY THE FISH AND THE AERODACTYL TYPE THING SINCE THEY ACCIDENTLY MADE THEM QUITE SMALL)

I DON'T MEAN TO MAKE ANY OF YOU MAD, BUT GUESS WHAT, WHEN i WAS UPLOADING THE THING STARTED MESSING UP AND i WASN'T ABLE TO DO THE REST YET, BUT DON'T WORRY BY TOMORROW IT SHOULD BE WORKING AGAIN :-)
