Radditz Saga
Dragon Ball Z open with Goku going to visit his old friends on Master Roshi's island. But soon Piccolo, Goku's arch nemesis, arrives followed shortly by Goku's older Brother Raditz. Raditz tells Goku that he is a Saiyan from outer space, and that he is to rejoin the Saiyan forces. Goku refuses, and Raditz kidnaps his son, Gohan. Piccolo decides to join forces with Goku temporarily to end this new menace. The battle ensues with Raditz easily holding off the attacks by Goku and Piccolo. Then finally Piccolo finds a way. His Special Beam Cannon, a move he perfected to use agains Goku, finds purchase, wounding Raditz as he barely dodges, but gets nicked in passing. Knowing that it would be the only way, Goku sacrifices himself to hold Raditz still while Piccolo fires one last time. The beam travels through both Raditz and Goku, killing them both. After Goku's death, Kame, the guardian of the Earth, requests he be sent to King Kaioh's place for special training. The Earth's defenders find out that more Saiyans, much more powerful than Raditz, will be coming soon. Piccolo takes Gohan, after seeing his high power level, for special training for the upcoming fight. The other fighters, Tien, Yamcha, Krillin, and Choazu, begin training for the Saiyans' arrival. Goku makes it to King Kaioh's after a couple misadventures on the Snake Way path and begins his training.

Saiyan Saga
There is Peace on earth after the death and defeat of the evil Piccolo, Goku and the rest of the earth live in peace, but all of this is about to end.... Here is where everything from Dragonball Z begins, This is a non-detailed summary of what happened during the Vegeta series, if you want to go to a detailed info site, i suggest you go to Greg Warner's Ultimate Information site. Goku is in his house with Chi-Chi, all of a sudden a small boy, that looks like Goku, who also has a tail like Goku did when he was a kid. Chi-chi calls them to go in and eat and the small boy presents himself as the son of Goku and Chi-chi, his name is Gohan. Goku tells Gohan that they will go visit their friends and present to them Gohan at the Kame house. Meanwhile in another place on earth, a strange spaceship lands with a large explosion, from the ship comes out a strange man with his hair down to his knee and a wierd device on his eye, he uses the device to detect the power level of someone and goes flying in that direction. meanwhile Goku arrives at the Kame house along with Gohan, he presents him to Krillin,Bulma and Master Roshi as his son, Gohan. Meanwhile the Alien is flying and he finds Piccolo. Piccolo is impressed by the extraordinary power of the alien and he attacks him with fireballs. The smoke clears and the alien is still there without even a scratch, he prepares to eliminate piccolo but his detector (the machine on his eye) detects an even stronger power level than Piccolo's and he goes in that direction, Piccolo stays paralized and amazed at his incredible power of this individual. The alien reaches Kame house. The power which had made his scouter go off (the detector on his eye) was Goku's power level. The alien presents himself as Raditz, he tells Goku that he is not from planet earth, but from the planet Vegeta, Goku asks how he knows all that, and Raditz states that he is his older brother. Goku and the others stay surprised because Raditz also has a tail just like Gohan and Goku did when he was little. Raditz asks why so many people are alive if his mission was to eliminate the human race. Goku says that this is impossible, Raditz says that when he was a baby he was sent from his planet with the mission to destroy a weak planet like earth. Goku doesn't remember any of this, Raditz asks if he didn't suffer from a strong blow to the head, Goku tells him he doesn't remember but Roshi takes the word and gives the story of Old Son Gohan (Goku's Grandfather) when he had told Roshi of when he found Goku near where he lived, at first he was very brutal and evil at first, but one day he hit his head and he turned very calm. Raditz then asks Goku to come and join him and meet the last of the Saiyans. he explains that his planet was destroyed by a huge meteor and that only four saiyans remained alive, Goku refuses to go with him and Raditz notices that Goku's son has a tail, he then says that Goku has one day to kill 100 humans, if he doesn't he would kill his son, Radditz grabs Gohan, Goku tells Roshi and Krillin if they want to help him get back his son, at that moment Piccolo arrives and tells Goku that they are useless against Raditz and Piccolo invites Goku to combine forces to eliminate Raditz (let's remember that Piccolo is still considered a bad guy at this moment of the series), Goku accepts and with the help of the Dragon Radar they follow Raditz to where he is (Gohan had the 4 star dragonball on his hat which Goku gave him). Raditz puts Gohan in his spaceship and finds out that Piccolo and Goku have followed him. They arrive and the fight begins. after a while GOku and Piccolo seem to be losing, Raditz is beating Goku up badly while Piccolo charges up his new attack to use against raditz. Gohan hears his father's yell and he gets enraged and he breaks out of the spaceship and hits raditz in the stomach with his head, damaging him badly, meanwhile Goku is impressed by the hidden power of his son, Goku then gets up and grabs Raditz from the back, when Piccolo finishes charging up he unleashes the attack (while Goku holds Raditz) killing both Goku and Raditz. Before dying Raditz mentions that 2 other Saiyans will arrive in one year to avenge his death, he also says that they are much stronger than he is, then Radditz and Goku die, Roshi, Krillin and Bulma arrive to the place and Piccolo tells them that Goku hahs died and 2 saiyans are on their way here and will arrive in 1 year, and Piccolo takes Gohan to train him. In the other world, Kami permits Goku enter with his body to the world of the dead and tells him that he will train with someone called Kaiouh-Sama, Kami asks for permission from King Yemma (the judge of the dead) to let Goku train with Kaiouh-Sama, King Yemma gies him permission and points to a road for Goku to get there Gokou then is taken by one of King Yemma's helpers to the beginning of Snake Road. The helper tells Goku that King Kai is at the end of the serpent road. Before leaving, Goku tells the Helper to tell Uranai-Baba (Roshi's sister who can travel from the dead realm to real life when she wants) to tell Roshi to not wish him back until 1 year has passed, Goku then starts running on Serpent road. Meanwhile on earth, Roshi, Bulma and Krillin are at Kame House, Bulma is modifying the scouter Raditz left while Krillin and Roshi wait. Yajirobe arrives and tells Krillin that Kami wants Krillin to train with him, he will also tell Tienshin-han, Chouzu and Yamtcha to also train with Kami. Krillin goes and tells the others and they all meet on Karin tower. Tienshin-han, Chouzu, Yamtcha, Krillin and Yajirobe go up to train with Kami to prepare for the Saiyans. Meanwhile Gohan trains with Piccolo. 11 months have passed since the fight versus Radditz, and on planet Kaio-sama Goku trains very hard to be able to defeat the saiyans who will land on earth (the planet Kaiou-Sama has 10 times more gravity than earth's for the training is more effective), Kaiou-sama has taught Goku the techniques of Kaiou-ken and the Genki-Dama, Kaiou realizes that he had miscalculated and the saiyans will not arrive in one month but in one day, Kaiou-sama gives permission for Goku to communicate with Master Roshi to tell him that they can revive him now. On planet Earth, Bulma and Roshi have already gathered up the Dragon Balls with the help of the Dragon Radar and they ask Shenron to wish Goku back to life. Goku revives but Kaiou-Sama has forgotten to calculate the time it will take back to earth. Goku says it took him 6 months to get there, but Kaioh-sama tells Goku that it will only take him 2 days because he is much stronger now. Also he tells Goku not to use the Genki-Dama unless he really needs to because it can wipe out the entire planet and all it's life, and also not to use more than the Kaioken times 2 because his body can't hold any more. Meanwhile on earth the two saiyans have already landed, Piccolo, Gohan, Krillin , Tienshinhan, Chaozu and Yamtcha feel their Ki, each one in different parts of the world. The 2 Saiyans detect the power levels of all of them and to see whos is the strongest (Piccolo's), they go in that direction to find Piccolo and Gohan. Krillin is close to where Piccolo and Gohan are and he gets there before everyone else. The Saiyans arrive and they present themselves as Nappa and Vegeta, and they laugh at our heroes because of their low power levels. Nappa mentions that Piccolo is a namek and that is the reason for getting rid of Radditz. In that moment Kami and Piccolo realize why they are so different than the rest. Afterwards Vegeta tells Nappa to take out the Saiba-men, for our heroes can fight them. Nappa takes out a small bottle with seeds and he takes out the 6 seeds and plants them on the ground. Then he emitts a special liquid on each one and they grow from the floor like plants, out come some green monsters. Vegeta then tells them to fight but in that moment, Tienshinhan and Chouzu arrive to fight. Vegeta commands for them to attack but in that moment Yamtcha makes his arrival.The fight finally starts and Tienshin-han easily defeats a Saiba-men on a hand to hand combat, Vegeta kills this Saiba-men and says that he was a waste of time. Yamtcha fights with another Saiba-men, Yamtcha appears to win but one grabs on to his back and self-explodes killing Yamtcha. Krillin gets angry and releases a power that kills the rest of the Saibamen except for one, this last one jumps toward Gohan but is killed by Piccolo. Meanwhile Nappa is impressed of how easily they defeated the Saiba-men and says that it's his turn now to fight. Tienshinhan is the first to fight versus Nappa, Nappa easily cuts his arm off, Chouzu,trying to save Tien grabs on to his back and explodes intending to kill Nappa that way, but Nappa stays alive, Tienshin-han uses his last bit of energy up and shoots at Nappa but Nappa stays alive and Tienshinhan dies. Piccolo and Kuririn attack Nappa, Gohan is scared to fight after seeing what happened to the others. Meanwhile, after a long and brutal fight with nappa, Gohan enrages with anger and attacks Nappa, Nappa then gets angry and he launches a powerful blast at Gohan, but Piccolo blocks his way and he saves him but Piccolo dies, in this moment Kami-sama also dies (Kami and Piccolo were originally one, if one dies the other does too), and with Kami-sama the Dragonballs disappear, Gohan gets angry again and unleashes a Masenko blast a Nappa, Nappa tries to block but his hand was severly injured, Nappa once again gets angry, and Gohan, now without any power falls to the floor, tired. Nappa prepares to squash Gohan with his foot but finally Goku arrives and he saves Gohan. Goku gives his half of his last senzu bean to krillin and the other half to gohan. Goku tells tem to rest and go home while he finishes the job and they obey him. The fight begind between Nappa and Goku, Goku easily defeats Nappa and he breaks his ribs, Then Vegeta destroys him and says that he is a disturbance. The fight had just begun. Gokou and Vegeta go to another place to fight. Then the battle begins, Vegeta starts to win at the beginning of the fight but Goku uses his Triple Kaio-ken and begins to take down Vegeta, Vegeta then flies up in the air and says that he will destroy the earth and he charges up his Galick-gun attack and then he unleashes it at Goku, but Goku uses his Triple Kaio-ken and shoots a Kamehame-ha, none of the shots could dominate the other, but then Goku unleashes a Quatrouple Kaio-ken with a Kamehame-ha and he dominates Vegeta's Galick-gun attack and hits Vegeta up into the air. but vegeta has not been defeated yet and then he searches for the moon to transform into Oozaru (giant were monkey) but he doesn't find it for Piccolo had destroyed it many months before. Vegeta lands on the ground andd says he doesn't need the moon to transform, and in that moment Gohan and Klilyn who are flying toward the Kame house turn around to go back and fight in the battle. Meanwhile Vegeta made an artificial moon and is already transforming into Oozaru and he starts to beat up Goku, Goku realizes the he could use the Tariou-ken to blind Vegeta (the solar flare in english), he uses it and Vegeta let's go of him, then Goku is preparing a Genki Dama, Meanwhile Vegeta is out of the shock and shoots a ray at Goku before he could finish and shoot the Genki Dama, in that moment Klilyn and Gohan arrive and they see Yajiorbe watching the fight with fear in him, then they make a plan to cut off Vegeta's tail, Yajiorbe cuts Vegeta's tail off whith the help of his sword, Gohan begins to shoot some Masenko blasts at Vegeta while Goku calls Krillin and he gives him the power of the Genki Dama so he could shoot it at Vegeta, Goku then tells Krillin not to waste the Genki Dama. Meanwhile Gohan is hurt very badly because of Vegeta but in that moment Krillin shoots the Genki Dama and it hits Vegeta, Vegeta falls to the ground severely injured. It looks like all has finished when suddenly Vegeta stands up and he hits Krillin and Gohan, at that moment Gohan's tail grows back, Vegeta sees this and prepares to cut off his tail when Yajirobe hits him with the sword in the back Vegeta then gets angry at this and he hits Yajirobe, Goku tells Gohan to look at the moon that Vegeta made, this is what Gohan did Vegeta then runs to gohan trying to cut his tail off but it's too late, Gohan had transformed into Oozaru and he starts to beat up Vegeta, finally Vegeta manages to cut his tail off, but Gohan falls on top of him before turning back into normal, Vegeta is seriously injured, Krillin grabs Yajirobe's sword, Vegeta calls his spaceship in which he arrived on earth, Vegeta starts to climb on but then Krillin gets next to him with the sword at his throat, Goku tells Krillin to let him stay alive so later Goku can fight him again, Kriilin obeys him and let's Vegeta leave on his spaceship and he is gone.
