Family: One sister, Samantha, who is currently attending the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. His parents run a foreign language school. His father, Harry Bloom, was a well-known figure in anti-apartheid circles in South Africa. The author of Episode in the Transvaal, he passed away in 1981, when Orlando was only 4 years old.
Pets: A dog named Maude
Tattoos: Rumoured to be three. The elvish script for 9 on his forearm, a sun on his torso, and another unknown one. I have yet to see the sun in any photographs although in a screen capture from his episode of Midsommer Murders you can definitely see something that looks like a tattoo under his bellybutton.
Hobbies: Surfing, snowboarding, skydiving, bungee jumping, photography
Schooling: At 16 he joined the National Youth Theatre for 2 seasons. He then received a scholarship to train with the British American Drama Academy. He finished out his schooling spending three years training at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
