| BIO/BACKGROUND: RAISING CAIN is a chaotic foursome whose live performances have been described as unchained energy and airtight musicianship, combined with striking visual images, audience involvement, pyrotechnics and state-of-the-art special effects. Ask anyone and they'll agree... take away all of the hoopla and you're left with four consummate performers, completely unwilling to compromise the full-scale entertainment value of their show for some imagined standard for dispassionate 'cool'. In 1994, RAISING CAIN established themselves in the music industry following the release of a self-produced EP entitled HELL ON EARTH. The first single, Alien Nation, received widespread radio and video support, leading to the band's first full-length album. CRUSADE was released in 1996 and the first single, IDK, received nationwide radio support thanks, in part, to six months of self-promoted touring which included 95 shows in 43 states. By October of 1996, CRUSADE had gained international recognition with distribution in 14 countries. Sales had surpassed the 60,000 mark and the resulting recognition aided in securing endorsements with numerous equipment manufacturers. PLANET DOOM is the second full-length release from RAISING CAIN and contains 12 tracks, which are rhythmically mesmerizing, and lyrically 'far from shy'. PLANET DOOM premiered in August 1999, on Tucson, Arizona radio station KFMA 92.1 FM. Shortly thereafter, RAISING CAIN secured nationwide distribution through the Orchard and on Tuesday, September 21, 1999, PLANET DOOM became available to every retail store in the country. In promoting their new release, RAISING CAIN has performed at the EAT'M Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada as well as the NAMM Convention in Los Angeles. My Pet Spyder, (PLANET DOOM - Track 12) made its debut on prime-time national television during the Series Premiere of Time Of Your Life, starring Jennifer Love Hewitt.
