 The little tree is draped in it's holiday finery... A few gifts nestled under the bows... Weary from the afternoon's activity, he lays down to rest... Warming his feet by the fire... Snoopy is soon lulled by music wafting thru the air... Lulled into the land of "Christmas Dreams" filled with family, friends & love... But the day didnt start out quite that well.... Hmmm... Now where is the book that will tell this story... I just don't see it here... Guess I will have to simply write it myself... It was a cold and snowy morning... Charlie slept late... My breakfast was late... A hungry, grumpy dog was I... A huge, warm hug sure made the morning seem a lot brighter... Looking left... Looking right... Charlie is nowhere in site, now is my chance... Time to do a little work, on Charlie's Christmas gift... Some friends warmed themselves by the fire... *giggling*, or should I say, They warmed their "buns" over the fire... While others hurried to and fro... Making their Christmas lists... Shopping and wrapping gifts... Others simply looked around the world, enjoying friends and music... After working hard, to unstring the Christmas lights, a short nap was in order... Then Charlie stopped by my dog house with this poor little tree... Sighhhhhh... Lucky for me, Sally came by asking me to carry her tree home... Woodstock & his friends from the forest, trailed behind us with the ornaments Sally had chosen to put on her tree this year... As we wandered thru silent woods... Where trees dressed for winter... Over snow covered hills, just perfect for sledding... Shouts of laughter drifted over the frozen playground of the pond... We stopped to rest, watching the skaters Late afternoon found us gathering... Warming ourselves by the fire, putting the finishing touches on gifts, hanging the one last decoration on the tree... Waiting for friends to arrive, to spend Christmas eve together... As the day drew to a close Snoopy and his friends gathered together, to first give thanks for the reason for the Christmas season... Then to give thanks for family and friends... Happy they could share this special time of year together...  The time has come to say farewell... Christmas is here, time for family and cheer... As Snoopy discovered, it's easy to find your own Christmas dream... Look deep into your own heart, and follow the snow covered pathway below... *All Rights Reserved* |
