| *COMING SOON: Princess Kakyuu MAMORU (darien): darien (mamoru) is a dashing dark-eyed man who is tall and handsom. he attracks the attention (unintentionally) of many women during the series. his chief love interest for most of the time is clumsy serena (usagi). both rei, and the doom tree's anne were infatuated with him at one time. his best friend is andrew (motoki) from the arcade. in the japanese series, usagi gives him the pet-name 'mamo-chan'. at the age of six, he loses his memory and his parents in a car accident. he learns from premonitions that he must find the all-powerful imperium silver crystal. during this quest his mind is overtaked by queen beryl, and is hers to use in twisted plots. after sailor moon defeats her, all of his memories are once again lost, but the mysterious moonlight knight (a manifestation of his latent fighting power, as well as his love for usagi) appears in the place of tuxedo mask, and once again, all wrongs are righted, and our hero is totally restored, including tuxedo mask. which means bye-bye moonlight knight. in the first of the series serena found darien to be an irritating individual. he gave her the name meatball head (odango atama. a japanese dessert). darien was always teasing her, making her loath the name. eventually they bond, and become closer (as they are ment to be), realizing their love for eachother and their shared pasts in the moon kindom. darien's love became so strong for serena that he would disreguard his own personal safety when rushing to save her. he did this on four occasions, (clinically) dying in two of them. They eventually marry, but the cerrimony was never actually shown in the series. LUNA and ARTEMIS: luna and artemis are the cat guardians and advisors of queen (and neo-queen) serenity. luna has the origional responsibilites of finding the first four senshi and restoring there memories. she is their advisor and friend. luna is only a few years older than most of the senshi. artemis is minako's cat. he is also "headquarters", luna's contact through the arcade. luna and artemis help the sensh through many battles. they are brave and loyal through everything. in the 30th century in crystal tokyo, luna and artemis have a child (a grey kitten), diana. diana travels with chibi-usa back to the past the second time. OSAKA NARU (molly baker): molly is a sweet, generous and naive girl who is frequently attacked by yoma. her mother owns an upper class jewelry store called OSA*P. she falls in love with nephlite when he is in cognito as maxfield stanton. once he learns of her devotion to him, he uses her kindness to help him reach his goals. she once stole a precious jewel from her mother, thinking it was the silver crystal, to save his life. she is completely devestated when one of zoycites yoma kills him, but after weeks of grieving she goes back to school and eventually falls in love with melvin. GURIO UMINO (melvin): melvin is a geek. he is highly itelligent, klutzy, and completely lacks social skills. he spends most of his time bug collecting, surfing the internet, studying, and bugging serena and molly. melvin starts out having a crush on serena, but his attention moves to molly. he even impersonates tuxedo mask calling himself tuxedo melvin to defend molly against harm. he is very romantic and articulate around molly, but sometimes she finds his expressions of affection quite embarrassing. HARUNA SAKURADA (miss haruna): miss haruna teaches serena, molly and melvins eighth grade class, but on her spare times enjoys working out at the local fitness center, and dating for love and romance. she wishes serena would spend more time on her school work, since serena's ampathy tests her patients daily. OJII-CHAN (grampa): although he's only 3 feet tall, grampa hino is a very lively and lecherous man. he is the head shinto priest at the sacred temple (hikawa jinja in japan) on cherry hill, and is highly skilled in the super natural. grampa is the seventh rainbow crystal carrier, who turns into the shadow warrior pox when the crystal is extracted. his very powerful soul enables him to initially stop zoycite from taking his rainbow crystal by envoking his ki against the evil. grampa is also extremely resilliant to damage, surviving a fall from the top of the shrine without injury. additionally he is skilled in fire readings, acrobatics, and is very energetic with excellent endurance. however, grampa is subject to wide mood swings. he can be laughing merrily at one moment, and balling like a baby the next. he has a short temper and sometimes becomes frustrated when rei meddles in his affairs. grampa is attracted to, and easily distracted by beautiful young women, which has resulted in published warning notices in the local media. FURUHATA MOTOKI(andrew): andrew attends azabu institute of technology with darien, and works at the crown game video arcade where serena and her friends hang out. both serena and lita had crushes on him, but after he realized how committed he is to his girlfriend, rita blake, they both turn their attention to other guys. andrew is not a very good house keeper (his apartment is disasterous), but is very brave and endangers himself to save rita from zoycite. KUMADA YUUICHIROU(chad): chad is a drifter/rock artist and the child of quite wealthy parents. he finds work at rei's temple as her grampa's assistant. chad believes he has a talent for singing, but both rei and grampa dissagree. chad is attracted to rei almost immediately, and will try to protect her whenever she is in danger. chad is an accomplished skier, and is portrayed with a surfer dude voice. TSUKINO KENJI: kenji is serena's father. he works as a photographer, and thus frequently receives invitations to elite social galas and important receptions. kenji is very protective of both serena and sammy (shingo). he becomes very upset whenever he hears that serena has a boyfriend, especially when he learns how old darien is. kenji is quite brave, and twice he puts himself between his family and the yoma that is trying to attack them. TSUKINO IKUKO: ikuko is serena's mother. she is a housewife who excells in cooking, sewing, and yelling at serena when she fails test in school. she is accepting of serena's choice of friends (she even asks serena to invite darien to dinner) and is easily flattered when complimented on her cooking. ikuko shows a special fondness for rini, and treats her as her own daughter. TSUKINO SHINGO (sammy): sammy is serena's mischevious and sometimes rather annoying 12-year-old brother. he enjoys video games, and is a big sailor moon fan. sammy is initially against serena keeping luna as a pet because of his fear of cats (was bitten when he was young) but he grows to like luna. he often plays pranks on serena, like changing the bathroom scalt to make her think she has gained weight. his girlfriend is mika kayama, who has a talent for dolls. |
