MEDICAL MUSTS
Some important medical musts you may need to know to
protect you and your family.
*You should have a good first aid book handy at all times.
*You should have a well stocked medicine cabinet.
*You should have a handy list of all emergency numbers.
This shoud include Doctor,Pharmacy, Hospital, Poison Center.
* A neat place to keep them is to type them and put them in a
docorative frame and hang on your wall near your telephone.
Medicine Chest Musts
Make sure your medicine chest is stocked with the following:
Allergy medicines, (antihistamines),
diarrhea medication
scissors
nail clippers
antibiotic cream
gastrointestinal
medicines, skin cream (for dry skin)
antiseptic cream
calamine lotion
htdrocortisone cream
other antiitch ointments and creams,
syrup of ipecac (to induce vomiting)
bandages
ice bag,
thermometer (rectal for kids)
cotton balls
pain relievers
tweezers
cold suppressant
rubbing alcohol
sunscreen,
tick spray
antacids
Your medicine chest should not be accessible to young children.
Medic Alert Emblems
People with special medical problems--such as diabetes, epilepsy,
cardoivascular disease--or allergies to medications---should wear
a bracelet with the emblem identifying the problem. Emblems can
be found in most drug stores or may be obtained from

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Being prepared for an emergency can help save a person's life.
The best way to learn CPR before a crisis it to take a class.
Many local hospitals offer low-cost courses, as do many
YMCA chapters. You may also want to contact the American
