With their footprints ingrained in the idelible fountain
Of your identity some of which roam our bloodstream
Covered unmasked and perhaps beyond recognition
In your impoverished neighbourhoods

Strait through which our breath and faculty of wisdom lie beneath
Are justly misguided or misunderstood
For your rocky style and lack of gratitude
Your slogan and deed freighten the faithful
Who welcome you in their millions as their adopted son
From grass to grace
When your very upsrings abandon you in the street
Forgotten we are not
The price for which you must pay
Heightening the tempo of vengence which is un-Godly
As you deny imagination
