PRESS RELEASE
Conservatives Make Their Choice!
Islington Conservatives have selected their candidate to contest the
Junction by-election on June 7th.
Sadiq Ajiya, 38, is a long-time Junction resident. Married with two
children, Sadiq works as a Freight Manager for an international
company.
Sadiq said:
I am delighted and honoured to have been selected to contest
Junction ward. Islington council is in great need of some common
sense and, as a local man, I am sure I can deliver it. The local
schools are a disgrace, and security in our area is dreadful. I shall
fight for good value services for Junction residents, young and old.
Sadiq is determined to see local people having a far greater say in
the running of the council. He said:
I would work to give more opportunities for residents to air their
views and develop local forums.
If elected, I shall encourage multicultural activities and work to
broaden mutual respect and understanding by all residents living in
the area.
Islington North Conservatives Chairman, Oliver Judge said: I am
delighted that Sadiq will be standing for us in Junction. He is a
local man and would make an excellent councillor.
Local Conservative Prospective Parliamentary Candidate, Neil
Rands said: Sadiq is an great choice. His enthusiasm is
infectious. Sadiq is very well known and liked in the area and I look
forward to working alongside him. Islington Council has continually
wasted money and offered disgraceful services. Sadiqs selection
is a real start to end this madness.
