| Brian Pillman |
 |
| 1962 - 1997 |
On the day of October 5, 1997 the wrestling world lost one of it's greatest entertainers. On that morning Brian Pillman was found dead in his Minnesotta hotel room. Brian's death sent shockwaves all around the world. I'll never forget the moment I heard that Brian had passed away. I was getting ready to watch an In Your House ppv when Vince McMahon made the shocking announcement. I just sat there staring at my televison screen hoping that this was all a part of some twisted angle. Sadly, as we all now know it wasn't. Brian had been a favorite of mine for years. Brian was a loving father and husband who still had so much to live for. At the time of his death his wife Melanie was expecting another child. Hearing all this made me realize that we all had lost someone who was a very special person. Brian had fought back from many throat cancer operations as a child and an almost fatal car accident in 1995. Brian did finaly return to the ring beating all the odds once again. Brian Pillman was truly a survivor throughout all of his adversity. Some people claim that Steve Austin is the toughest son of a bitch in wrestling, well if he is it's only because Brian's not here anymore. Brian wherever you are i'm sure you're causing trouble. I only wish that you were still here to do the same.
