Pokemon are little animals that share the world with humans.(Pokemon is the Japenese word for Pocket monsters.)They live in a giant forest that the Pokemon trainers call the Pokemon Forest.(A Pokemon trainer is a person that fights other Pokemon with there own Pokemon
and when the other Pokemon is hurt, the trainer will capture the opposing Pokemon in a Pokeball*.) The Pokemon cards are for collecting, trading, and playing. I do not recommend anything but the starter set, and possibly if you insist, a theme deck.(Theme decks are for the advanced level, which you get to after you understand the rules and have played a few games.) Do not get booster packs because they are for the expert level, when you are ready to build your deck.
