ULTIMATE LOVE

1 - pursues the beloved - it never gives up or gives out. “I come to you”, Paul says.

2 - is not selfish or demanding, but instead is compassionate and giving. “I will not be a burden to you”, Paul says.

3 - values the beloved. “I do not seek what is yours but you”, Paul reassures.

4 - freely takes on responsibility for the welfare of the beloved. “I am responsible for you”, Paul states.

5 - gives to the fullest without counting the cost. “I will gladly spend and be expended for you”, Paul affirms.

6 - grows and does not diminish, regardless of circumstances and, or situations. “I will love you the more”, says Paul.

7 - pure in motive and action - not full of self-centeredness. I will not take advantage of you,” Paul promises. “I will not exploit you. Everything I do is for your strengthening and building up.”
How do I know all of this? Through experience - heartbreaking trials of a failed marriage that brought me to the place where I needed to be - sitting before God while seeking the face of Jesus. It took many years to gain the spiritual growth that made me an over comer. I was the one who needed to change the most and not my ex-husband. I tried manipulating him into changing - when he wouldn't change I just walked away. It took me a long time to realize that we both needed a mental and spiritual adjustment. He found someone else and made peace with it all, for that I am thankful.

By nature I’m strong willed and ready to fight for what I want. I’ll never forget the day when I just gave up and surrendered it all to God. I started to cry and pray, "Lord, I can’t do this anymore. I give it all to you". Those words were the turning point for me. Change came slowly but it was all worth it. Through it all I learned that "Ultimate Love" is something you work at and build together with our awesome God as the main focus. You aren’t born with it nor can you buy it. You just have to let go and let God!
ULTIMATE LOVE

In the Song of Solomon - Shalamith says: "True love never ceases to care, and it would no more give up the beloved than the grave would give up the dead. The fires of true love can never be quenched because the source of its flame is God Himself."

My personal message to you is for every couple to become husband and wife through the "Ultimate Love" connection. In marriage the delights of love are mingled and made fragrant as a rose garden when ultimate love enters the relationship. Most importantly, human love is stabilized by the awesome presence of ultimate love. Feelings are momentary: ultimate love is lasting.

Your marriage partner should be the first, last and in-between recipient of ultimate love. It is this that will bless your marriage beyond your highest hopes and/or expectations.

The Son of God has such an ultimate love for us that He became the Man Jesus to live a perfect life, to die for our sins and to live again in order to save us. Equally so, we cannot truly love by our own efforts. God who is love intervenes by giving us the priceless gift of ultimate love to be poured out on a mate.

In 2 Corinthians 12 you will find love attitudes and actions that should pervade a marriage.
