| bipedalcow 09-01-2005, 09:35 PM Cassidy had slipped away from his gaurds during the Brute's speech. he read the mysterious message "go north dipstick" written on a rock. Cassidy sighed. Might as well, he thought. There didn't seem to be anything around for miles though. He took a deep breath, and headed out into the darkness... KarMegus cussed in his native tongue. He wasn't sure if Brutes were able to activate the Halos. But now he had no choice but to try. The group of Covenant he had found followed close behind him. They headed toward where KarMegus believed the Ark was. After the incident back there, he had wandered around for miles. By now, it was nearly dawn. KarMegus heard the gurgling sounds unique to the Flood. "Keep an eye out." he warned everyone. There was a Drone near the back that raised its Needler, and fired a full clip off to the East. As it was reloading, a large group of Flood ambushed them. A Jackal fired its Beam Rifle in vain. "Use your pistol!" KarMegus yelled, while unloading his carbine on 3 Combat Forms. The Jackal took out its Plasma Pistol and fired at several Infection Forms. After the Flood was dead, there were surprisingly no casualties on his count. These Drones, Jackals, and Brutes were experienced with the Flood, apparently. This would make everything alot easier on his part. mr.haloman 09-01-2005, 10:03 PM Varas walked for so he thought fifteen miles till he came to a base of elites. He sighed in relief, and walked up to the door and asked if these are all the survivors of the attack here, and the guard said yes. Varas was let in and walked up to who the guard said was the leader. He was wearing what looked like arbiter armor, and realized it was the arbiter. " Honorable Arbiter, why would you be here?" And the Arbiter just said, " To do the work of the prophets," righ before he shot Varas in the head with a forerunner pistol. |
