KarMegus entered the Phantom. The Demon was here, but his first priority was protecting Truth. Truth boarded the Phantom immediatly after KarMegus. KarMegus counted only 5 Honor Gaurds remaining. This part of Earth was being attacked by enough forces so Truth could head back to the ship. KarMegus heard a single Carbine round being fired. He looked and saw an Honor Gaurd jump in between it and Truth. The round penetrated his skull and he was dead instantly. KarMegus looked and saw a Flood Warrior, holding a Carbine and looking intimidating. "How did the Parasite get on the Phantom?!" yelled Truth. But he recieved no answer, because at least 10 more warriors and 5 carrier forms joined the Warrior. Brute shot, Carbine, and the customized Brute Plasma Rifle rounds began flying towards the Flood. But the Carrier Forms exploded and at least 30 Infection Forms were out into the Phantom. A single Infection Form went at KarMegus's throat. He aimed his Carbine and it exploded in his face. It smelled awful, and KarMegus nearly gagged, but he ignored it and fired some more. Eventually, KarMegus was the only Honor Gaurd left. He stood between 3 Flood Warriors and at least 10 Infection Forms and Truth. He did not like those odds. But he threw a grenade and the Warriors were dead. He aimed his Carbine and 5 Infections Forms were dead with a single shot. 4 crawled into the vents. KarMegus threw a grenade and something that must've been the remains of the Infection Forms came out. Suddenly the Phantom began to fall. KarMegus realized it was because of the grenade he threw. The Phantom lurched and KarMegus crashed into the wall. Everything went dark... "no... must stay awake... must..." "no. go to sleep." Something was invading KarMegus's mind. "NO!" KarMegus bolted upright and ripped the infection form off his throat. He looked around him. The Phantom appeared to have crashed already and Truth was dead. He had failed. The punishment for failure is death. But he had survived. The others hadn't. KarMegus heard the sounds of battle outside. He exited he Phantom and saw Human Pelicans flying everywhere, with Humans using the turret mounted on the back, shooting the Flood. He also noticed the old obselete Drop Ships the Covenant used before the Brutes had joined and designed the Phantoms. The Heretics refused to use the Phantoms because of their origins in the Brute culture. So Heretics were here as well. That was not good. But he would escape. He would- before he could finish the thought he was surrounded by Humans and Elites. The Humans took him to what appeared to be some sort of Military Base after he was bound. He knew they would interrogate him. He knew that he must not tell them anything. For if he did, and he managed to escape, the Covenant would kill him. But if he didn't, the Humans might kill him. He was a dead man, and he knew it. Perhaps it would be safer to talk to the Humans. Perhaps...

The blood was everywhere. I couldnt belive what had happened. They will never believe him. Then comes Gravemind. He said it would be fixed. I wouldnt be killed. It would end peacefully. He was wrong.
The prophets blood all over me. My blade is the doing. Im the prime suspect. It wasn't justice. He wispers in my ear " It will end peacefully." I dont believe him. I pull my sword out and let him feel the pain. I was promised. He lied. Game over.

The interrogation had lasted an hour. KarMegus was exhausted, but confused. The Humans would threaten him, and slap him a few times, but in the Covenant, they would torture you. He decided it was alot safer with the Humans. He told them everything. That the Covenant thought activating the Holy Rings would make them gods. Something came floating into the interrogation room. "Oracle!" KarMegus exclaimed. "Oh. Hello. I am 343 Guilty Spark. Monitor of Installation 04." "This little fellow taught us all we need to know about the Halos. I think you should ask him a few questions yourself." said the Human commanding officer. The Humans left the room, leaving only KarMegus and the Oracle. "Oracle, what are the Halos?" "The installations are experimantation sites, for experimenting on the Flood. And please refrain from calling me 'Oracle', meddler. I am 343 Guilty Spark." "Or-343 Guilty Spark, what will happen when the Halos are activated?" "They will wipe out all sentient life, so the flood will starve and die." "What happened to the Forerunners?" "They were experimenting on the Flood when an outbreak occured, and the Flood escaped. The Flood managed to get off the Halos and get to other planets. The Forerunners activated the Halos and were killed, as planned." KarMegus understood what must be done. But he needed some help. "343 Guilty Spark, will you assist me in activating the Halos?"

Varas wiped the blood off his forehead and thought out what had happened. Gravemind made a deal with him so that if Varas killed all the prophets, the flood would be silenced forever. Varas new there wasnt a chance in abyss that the deal would go through, but he was helpless and did it anyway. Nine prophets left after mercy was killed. The murder was blammed on Shaq'oul, a fellow Brute who had stolen one of the prophets' cruisers. Varas was told that he would have a meeting with the arbiter, to plan their attack on the human scum. But Varas would make a stop at the prophet of Torments room for a little Advice.

213 ran through the processes again, there was an invader in the system, an A.I. rumanging through the system. 213 ran the anti virus and it stopped. He slowly gained view of his surroundings, he was at some human military base. His walker was dismantled. His core lay on a metal table. Humans gazed at him for a moment. Then 213 looked for a way out. He found one. A small computer sat on a nearby desk.
213 lashed out at it with a cord and inserted himself into the computer. He found himself in a wealth of knoledge.
"343 in with prisoner."
343? He had been on one of the instilations. And now, whats this? He wants to activate the protocol. How absurd! 213 already had a safer measure of getting rid of the flood. 343 had to be stopped. But how?
213 decided to jump himself onto 343's mainframe, then hide and escape at the correct time. Once the process was finished, 213 watched the events which laid before him.
"343 Guilty Spark, will you assist me in activating the Halos?"

KarMegus knew that he must repent for what he had done before. He had always distrusted Truth's views and actions, especially what had happened with Mercy. He wished Mercy had survived, he was the more logical of the two. But the Halos need to be activated. The war would have been for nothing. But he would be unstopped. Because if Truth hadn't left High Charity, then the Flood wouldn't have escaped. It was Truth's fault, but his dying wish would be fulfilled. even if it's not for the same reason. Because the moment he heard what had happened to the Forerunners, he knew they acted in the greater good. And to repent, he must do the same. But as far as KarMegus knew, only Truth knew the coordinates of the Ark. "343 Guilty Spark, where is the coordinates of the Ark?" "Simple, follow me." "But how will we escape? There are Human gaurds everywhere." "Just a moment..." KarMegus watched helplessly as 343 left the room. He waited, but the Monitor didn't return...

213 continued to manupulate 343's actions. To get 343 out of there and back to his little home was more important now, than any of the other matters. But 213 feared that 343 was becoming aware of his presence, and soon, 213 would need to find another machine to inhabit.

Raynor arrived at his mysterious location. A giant ring with tundra and ocean lining the center of it. His ship edged closer to the structure, and Raynor finally realized the scale of the ring. Bigger than earth even.
The ship finally landed. Raynor took a moment to step outside. The temperature had to be below 10 degrees farenhite(sp?).
Raynor keyed the radio. No response. Where ever he was, he was alone.

Corporal Cassidy had never run from battle. And he never planned to. Even now, pinned doen in this foxhole, surrounded by Brutes. He was too suppressed to even move. And he was out of grenades. But he had his Battle Rifle, the same one issued to him when he first joined the Marines. And he knew he was going to die. But he was going to take down as many of these monkeys as he could with him. He stood up, and without having a chance to aim hit a brute square in the forehead. He ducked down as a barrage of Carbine and Brute Shot rounds came at him. ha realized he was being flanked and looked to his side. A Brute was coming and Cassidy shot him in the head. Three left... He remembered the men he had fought with. They had fled
and were killed instantly. The same will not happen to him...
KarMegus had a plan to escape. The Humans entered the room. "Well, Sarge, what do we do with this thing?" said one of the Humans. "I dunno. What do you propose?" KarMEgus struggled with the Human language."I have plan. Stop Flood. Need Help." "And what would that be?" Again, KarMegus tried to speak the language. "Must activate Halos. Reprogram first. Make so Halos explode as well." The Human laughed. "Ha! you think we're that stupid?! Kill the beast!" The other Human looked surprised. "But Sarge-" "Kill it!" KarMegus flexed his muscles and broke the chains holding him. He didnt know what the other Human had said, but knew that only the leader wanted KarMegus dead. Before the Sargeant could pick up his weapon, he was out cold, lying on the floor. KarMegus picked up the Human's weapon, a Shotgun, and walked out the room. The other Human followed. "I know what you want to do. I'm gonna help." KarMegus nodded, and the Marine told everyone he was escprting KarMegus to his death, outside. But as soon as they left the base, they stole a warthog and drove off, towards the Phantom KarMegus had left only hours before.

Raynor had taken to scouting the surrounding area. Barren tundra all around. Snow formed dunes streched out for miles. Raynor had also taken to scouting the ship for any supplies to help him surive, the ship wouldnt leave. He found enough supplies and some extra clothing to suit the chilled enviroment. He also found a spare warthog. Its gas tank was half empty, and the chaingun on the back was empty. Dosent matter though, it had no wheels. Raynor then decided to look into the cyro room, there were usually some extra clothes there.
He opened the door and walked in. The entire room was coated in ice. He had a hard time not slipping. He took a moment to look into all of the cyro tubes.
One of them had something inside. He punched in the code, and the cyro opened. He walked up to it and was greeted by an Human flood form.
It leaped at him and knocked him onto the ground. Raynor slid before hitting a wall. The flood jumped up into the air and was about to hit Raynor when he rolled over, causing the Flood to miss.
Raynor scrambled over to the door hoping to trap the creature inside. But he was too late, the flood ran and grabbed him by the leg and tossed him aside. Sending him hurtling into another wall. Raynor found somewhere to hide, inbetween two tubes. He sat and watched the flood. It ran around, then eventually left the bay. Raynor dashed for the control room, with whatever he could carry. Eventually he reached the control room. He watched the flood through some cameras. Somehow he would kill it, but at the current moment he couldnt think of a way.

orment believe in the Arbiter. He believed that he would end the war and destroy the demon. But when half the covenent army joined with the earthlings, Torment did not the expect the Arbiter to follow. Torment now only believes in the brutes, and that the rest of our so called fleet are useless. Varas will kill Torment not only for Gravemind, but for the sake of the remaining covenant.
Varas enters the Prophets room. " Thank you for coming Varas, We will be only a minute of your time." He new they would kill him. Torment has killed nearly a third of the commanders and has blammed it on the humans or the flood. Three honor Brutes entered the room from behind him. Varas new he could kill them before they moved another foot. But another being came with them. A strange creature. It wasn't a flood, but a much larger creature. A creature with four arms that held two strange looking rifles.
" Varas, i would like you to meet our new Covenant Superior, Falx." The prophet said. " What... What is he?" Varas questioned. " He is the one who will lead us to the great journey!" Torment said right before the creature fired his two rifles through Varas stomoch.

Cassidy had picked off all the Brutes but one. He got up to fire his Battle Rifle again only to find there was no ammo left. The Brute raised its carbine but it also had no ammo. The Brute smiled, dropped the gun, and raised its fists. Cassidy did the same. He had never run from a battle, and never will. It was now a fist fight to the death with this Brute.
KarMegus and the Marine, Sanchez, started up the Phantom. The Monitor had revealed the location of the Ark, and it was on Earth, somewhere underground. There was an entrance in the mountains. He needed to reprogram it, which is what he needed 343 for. So he needed to get to another Halo. The closest one. He remembered the diagrams the Covenant had in the Hall of Prophecy. There was a Halo relatively close. He boarded the Ascendant Justice. All the soldiers were gone. He told the Nav Brutes the coordinates. They didn't know why they were going here, but didn't argue. KarMegus was headed to another Halo to find another Monitor.

Raynor had just woken up when the ship was spotted. Covenant. Raynor prepared the forward archer pods and the engines. He wasnt going to die today.
But another moment had passed when all of the systems shut down. Even the Heater shut off. One of the screens turned on however. The aft camera. A floating orb made its way to the front of the ship.

213 jumped from 343 when he learned of theier learning of another halo. He made a second jump onto another human ship he had planned to be there. He used his old orb as a decoy so he could use the ship to activate his weapon before 343 destroyed everything dear. The humans used a type of engine that the weapon needed. Soon all of the problems of the universe would end. That was when 213 noticed the lone flood wandering to find a way into the control center. But 213 decided to solve that problem later.

Raynor felt the ship's engines kick in. The ship started toward another section of the ring where a large metal structure could be seen. Raynor looked at the radar and noticed the covenant ship getting closer.

The Brute was not as strong as Cassidy thought. It must be as tired as he was. But the punches thrown by it were still tremendously strong. Cassidy was nearly unconscious. He noticed the Brute had a single Plasma Grenade. The Brute knew as well. They were going to fight with honor. No weapons. Cassidy threw a punch and hit the Brute in the eye. It reared back, and with a howl, sent Cassidy flying. He knew he had lost. But he threw one last punch, and saw the Brute collapse as well. The last thing he remembers was satisfaction...
Cassidy awoke with a start. He was somewhere in a desert. He was surrounded by Jackals. He looked and saw several Brutes and Drones as well. "Where am I..." he thought...
KarMegus and Sanchez checked their weapons. KarMegus had a Carbine, with a full clip, a Brute shot with a full clip, and several Plasma Grenades. Sanchez had a Shotgun, Battle Rifle, and a few Frag Grenades. KarMegus was glad they had the Shotgun. It worked well against the Flood. "Okay, sir, we're at the coord- by the Gods, thats another Halo!" said the Nav Brutes. KarMegus nodded. KarMegus, Sanchez, and a few Nav Brutes got into the Phantom and went to the surface. There were no signs that the flood were awoken. "Now we must find the Monitor of Beta Halo..."

KarMegus ordered the AI Guilty Innocence to give him all the information on the Halos before he left the Phantom. KarMegus took his men to the area where the Monitor should be. Sanchez raised his Shotgun. "I heard something." KarMegus looked around. He spotted a faint green light up ahead. Monitor, he thought. He walked up to it. "Monitor, we need-" "Oh, hello. I am 421 Penitant Spark, Monitor of Installation 02." "Monitor, we must go to the Ark. We need you to help-" "The Ark? No no no. I must remain here and monitor the installation for outbreaks." "Monitor, the Flood escaped. We must go to the Ark and-" "Escaped? There are no outbreaks here. You meddlers really are aggravating. Now leave before you wake up the Flood or die. Protocol states i must eliminate all who want to awaken the Flood." Sanchez decided to step in. "Look, lightbulb, we are not in the mood for any more of this. Come with us. Now." "I have warned you, meddlers." The Monitor disappeared. KarMegus stood, confused. What had just happened? Suddenly 10 Sentinals came out of nowhere and began attacking KarMegus and his men. He raised his Carbine and they were finished quickly. More Sentinals, even some Enforcers, kept coming. The Monitor returned. "Oh, your not dead yet?" Sanchez appeared annoyed. "That's it!" He grabbed the Monitor and told KarMegus to go back to the Phantom. As they were leaving the Halo, they came into contact wit a Human vessel. Sanchez warned the Brutes not to shoot it. He was curious as to who was inside...
