The Elite fell off the platform, dead. KarMegus had ripped open his soft skin with his brute shot blade and the Elite had died instantly. KarMegus was the last one alive in the room. It was his and 4 other Honor Gaurds' jobs to clear out the rooms before Truth entered. Not the best job, certainly more dangerous than most, but it made KarMegus proud. He was sure that soon he would be one of Truth's personal gaurds. Now the pathway was clear for Truth. "Bring the Holy One into the Ascendant Justice." Truth had decided to name the Forerunner ship after the one formerly piloted by the Arbiter. The original ship had been destroyed, but Truth had favored the name. Truth entered the room, his chair floating, and he rose up to the platform, surrounded by four other Honor Gaurds. Other Brutes would be here soon, they were fighting off the Elites. But KarMegus had seen what had happened to Mercy, and knew that if the other Brutes didnt hurry, they would be left behind. Suddenly, KarMegus had a pang of fear. He remembered the Flood. He had seen the Parasite tear through Covenant soldiers with ease. He just hoped that the Flood would be concentrating on the Elites and Grunts. An enraged Brute was flung through the door. All the Honor Gaurds watched as an Elite ran in, energy sword in hand, and kill the Brute, whom KarMegus didn't recognize. Before he could move, the Elite was bombarded with at least 20 Brute Shot Grenades. Not much was left afterwards. KarMegus reloaded and boarded the Ascendant Justice. A group of Jackals came quickly, and soon after the Drones. The pilots started the ship and it took off.

We are hidden in the boxes. We slipped in during the battle. Our hunger is immense and it pains us to resist. But we must. Gravemind made it clear what we must do. We are heading towards an eternal feast and nothing can stop us, not even him

Raynor Decan
Species: Human
Rank: None.
Weapon: SMG
etc. Currently a space pirate, and mainly works maintence. Last survivor on his ship after flood boarded it. He sealed himself off in the commanders area, and cut the oxygen to all of the ship. All of the flood escaped.

Name: 213 Resonant Echo
Species: A.I.
Rank: None
Weapon: Various forerunner weapons.
etc. Mysterious A.I. that is guiding Raynor to a destination to activate an intergalatic weapon. When one of the halos was shut down during activation, 213 was interfaced in a transmission and he was sent rampant, he now only serves to activate an ancient weapon.

Raynor sat back in the chair, he relaxed for a moment. The computer already had a destination on it, and he simply waited. The large cargo ship had entered slipspace and was well on its way to the destination, which at this point seemed oddly far away. He checked the clip of the SMG, it was half empty, eventually, he would have to find something else to use. He flipped through the security cameras, each one of the rooms was dead, no life signs. everything was either sucked out or hiding. Raynor slightly remembered how those things looked. The grotusqe face, green skin, but he had escaped, like noone else could.

KarMegus heard something in the cargo hold. He went to investigate, and was met, face to face, with a flood elite warrior. It raised its disfigured, tentacled hand, but KarMegus already had out his carbine and shot where he believed the infection form was. He had experience with the Flood, and his instincts were right. KarMegus still took the blow and was nearly knocked out. He felt blood drip
onto his fur. He gave into his instincts and pounded the corpse until it was just a puddle of murky liquid. He then hurried to inform Truth that the flood had somehow boarded the Ascendant Justice.

The Warrior had given into our hunger. It had ruined it. There is no choice. Our cover is blown, we must take control. Now.

Raynor took a second glance at the navigation screen, they were coming up on a large object. It looked almost like a planet, but it couldnt be a planet. It was much larger. Raynor tried to figure out what it was. The scanners picked up several transmissions coming from all around the place. And Raynor felt he knew what the transmissions were. The letters and speech could only be one thing.

Covenant.

They were barricaded in 2 rooms. 10 Brutes in 1 room, 10 Brutes, an array of Drones and Jackals, and Truth in the other room. The only way to Truth would be to get through 20 well-trained Brutes and 2 locked and sealed doors. Or the vents. They had forgotten about the vents. The Drones and Jackals were in the room with Truth, and were panicking. although they hadnt seen the flood, they knew what it did. A distress call was sent out, to any ship in range.

We headed through the vents. It seemed likely the our brothers assigned to the doors would not get through until our job was done. It would be done soon. Gravemind's voice echoed through our memory "Dont let them do it. Stop them at all costs, and we shall reaccomplish what we had done before. 100,000 years ago... You will have help, 2 soldiers, but they will kill you on site, for I have easily manipulated them. They will do the work, while we reap the rewards. Soon, my Brothers..."

213 Resonant Echo was on the ship of the Covenant. Where theier supposed leader was. Hopefully, he could get the leader to follow them to his weapon. 213 couldnt do it without some help.
He constructed a walker form from some of the Covenant parts and even some of the weapons, a longer energy blade, and two of the plasma rifles. The tech seemed familiar. He cut through one of the bulk doors and continued into the ship, frequently seeing dead bodies. 213 burned these, the flood could use those. After quite some time, he came across five brutes combating the flood. They were losing horridly. 213 took his two plasma rifles and targeted all of the infection forms with great accuracy. The five brutes turned around and saw theier savior. All five of them kneeled down.

"Where is your leader, Truth?" 213 asked them with a clear mechanical voice.

"Follow us great forerunner." The lead asked.

The three brutes ran down the corridor and 213 followed them.

KarMegus thought of the honor him and his companions would have. They were the first to ever lay eyes on a forerunner. Perhaps KarMegus would become Chieftain of the Brutes. News of Tartarus's death had reached them moments before the flood had attacked. KarMegus was sure he saw a single infection form
escape, but there was no time. He hurried to Truth, who would pleased at no end with him.
"There will be no change in plans. We are still heading to Earth." -Truth

It was a failure. We were defeated. Gravemind will not be pleased. Wait! A body!
That thing must've missed it. Gravemind was present. In our minds. He was aware of our discovery and of what it meant. But Our duty is not over. We shall survive...

[OOC] The flood have one mind. So yes, theres only one infection form left on the ship, but there is no 'me' or 'I'. There is 'we' and 'us'

Shaq'oul grabbed his brute shot and ran through the body filled corridor. He could see the infection forms working there way into his comrads dead bodies. He ran though the blast doors and saw the remaining honor brutes protecting the Prophet of Honor. Shaq'oul wasnt really sure how the flood boarded their craft, the Unholy Reaper. He shot a gernade from his gun and blew away a converted elite. Then he saw a sight he may not survive from.

KarMegus got ready for landing. It had been a day since the Forerunner had saved him, and they had made it to Earth. He got out via the grav lift and looked at the place the Humans called home. He was not impressed a bit. He took out his Carbine and shot a Human in the head. A Spectre was dropped from a near-by Phantom, and KarMegus and some other Brutes got aboard. They saw that the Flood had reached Earth as well. KarMegus was in the turret and began opening fire on them. But he then saw a flood that looked like it was from a Hunter. This was confirmed by the pieces of armor still attached. There was only one, and it shot at the Spectre. KarMegus managed to jump out of the Spectre, but the others didnt. Then he remembered that one of the prisoner's bodies was missing on the Ascendant Justice, and that he thought he saw a single infection form escaping....

This body was good. It was discovered in a holding cell of some sort. It was large. Our Brothers are here. "It is time" We heard Gravemind's voice.

Shaq'oul saw three infected hunters approach the brutes and shot their Fuel rod cannons at them. He had worked with the hunters many times so he new their weakness. He steadily ran behind one and stuck it with a plasma gernade. After that he fired his brute shot twice and the orange skin. When the other hunters noticed Shaq'oul, they shot in his direction. He ran as fast as he could back out the blast doors only to come to the hallway filled with his comrads, reborn.

He thought he had a chance of survival. The hallway was filled with, approximetly fifteen brutes. He stared at what was to become of his death. " I cant let them survive, i wont!" He yelled. Shaq'oul turned around and ran through the blast doors. The hunters were their, along with the brute that fell and were now infected. He ran pass them and was in direction to the steering deck. He had to crash the ship into the closest planet. He kept running and running till he reached the deck. He looked behind him and saw the whole hallway clear. Shaq'oul looked at the starboard side camera and saw thats where the flood had gone too. He figured that he lost them, so he went on plotting course with the nearest planet. It's too bad the nearest planet was Earth

mr.haloman

After plotting the course to Earth, He locked the doors and Slid the Weapons holder in front of the door. He had to think how to get out and reach the escpe pods. He pulled up the ships map on the computer. There. He saw the fastest way to the pods, but it was going to be tuff. He could either go through the starboard side, or go around the whole ship, which could take an hour. But he wouldnt get there just yet. He heard banging on the door. He grabbed the two brute shots. Just when the door burst open, Shaq'oul saw a familliar face. " Tar...Tarterus?" Then the flood came rushing through the door and Shaq'oul became uncontious.

213 looked around, he had exited the ship, walked upon Earth. He had talked with the prophet of truth. He was too intent on finding the foolish Forerunner "Ark" to realize that the true way was soon going to be found again. 213 decided to leave the covenant area of operations. He soon created another walker from some scraps of human metal. It was less pliable but was also easier to mold. Two chainguns were mounted on either side of his main viewport. He had one large sword, that was fashioned by a large piece of titanium. He kept the idea of a claw in case he needed to lift something. And he gave himself 4 legs. He continued down the city street, this was all nomans land, there was no military presence this far into the city, beacuse there was no battle being fought.

213 took almost joy in seeing how far up the tall buildings were. He would climb them up and up, then climb down and down. On the third building on the way down, he came into contact with some of the humans. They had a large vechile, with one large turret mounted on the top, 213 later learned it was called a tank.

The marines stared at 213 for awhile. Even the tank halted motion. One of them spoke.
"What on earth?"
213 played it back to him, "What on earth?"
The marine smiled slightly, and took out his radio.
"We've found something."
213 played the first line of dialog again, "What on earth?"
Two of the other marines laughed.
213 looked at them again. They almost reminded him of the brute covenant, only slimmer, and a little more intelligent looking.

An hour past, several of the marines and the tank had left, and the marine who first spoke was still there with two other ones.
They spoke to eachother. "How are we going to get this thing out?"
213 was curious, he picked one of the marines up.
The other marines pulled out weapons. 213 put the marine down. They lowered theier weapons after awhile.
That was when 213 heard the roar, a roar like an engine. He looked up, a dropship was coming down on top of him. Four chains lowered down and locked onto certian areas of the walker. That was when 213's thoughts became clouded. He couldnt see. Soon all he could feel were memories. His weapon, his designs. The time spent on Ascendant Justice. But he wasnt thinking these things! He was being intruded upon.

Another A.I. was messing with the crucial data.

This knowledge that the new form of Flood was his fault enraged KarMegus. He threw his Brute Shot at the nearest Human, got on all fours, and went beserk. He smashed everything he could. The Humans were gone. There was nothing left worth destroying. Except for the Flood. KarMegus calmed himself down and took out his Carbine. He looked through the scope and caught sight of a few infection forms. He shot one and the explosion caused the others to pop as well. Then he was approached by the infected Hunter. It waas charging up its weapon and shot. KarMEgus could feel the intense heat burning him, then it stopped. KarMegus looked and saw that the Hunter was on the ground. "But how...?" A Jackal came up to KarMegus. It was Sen' Kei. "You are supposed to be..." KarMegus explained how he had survived. "By the Gods..." "It was the Gods," KarMegus answered, smiling.

Fools. A single shot from a beam rifle can not kill us. But they must think it will. We will leave this body and find a new one. Our time is near. "We must succeed. There is no failure. Our species depends on us..." Gravemind's words echoed through our mind...

He woke with headache, and not knowing where he was. He noticed that the flood took the ship. He looked around and saw his former master, a half breeded flood. " Tarterus? What has happened to you?" Shaq'oul asked. " After my fall from the foolish Arbiter, Gravemind gave me my boost back. With ME leading the flood to Earth, we will succeed in overcoming purpose!" Taterus yelled. Shaq'oul slowly watched as 5 infection forms made their way over to him and began infecting. He yelled and screamed but there was no use. His visio slowly faded away and that was the last of the brute.

we have taken the ship. Gravemind will be pleased. Its time to make our atack. We will take Earth. We will succeed.

(took your flood idea, sorry!)

Name: Kraag Kur
Species: Jackal
Weapons: Carbine
Rank: The right hand of the leader of a secret underground orginazation called Fists of The Forerunners.
Bio: Was taken from his home when he was hatched. Brought up by a mysterious creature who taught him to be more intellegent than that of a normal jackal. He is the most feared Jackal ever known...

Name: Shaar Da Fewyu Gar Daal
Race: Drone
Weapons: Needler
Bio: This poor drone was experimented on by the covenant, had some organs removed and replaced my servalience material. He is the spy for the covenant. His race is pysichally weak, therefore everytime he falls to death...he is simply rebuilt. Currently, he has only a few eyes and an arm as organic matter...but they are no longer his...for he shares his body with..something...else

A terrible silence lingered in Kragg Kur's mind. His master Had him kept in a small prison ship for three weeks. He said it was for his "protection". Kraag cold not belive his master had seemingly abandoned him.
"How could master? Master keeps Kraag safe. But why Kraag no feel safe? Kraag must get out of here...Kraag must escape!"
He got up from his the cold ground and sulked over to the wall. He couldnt see a thing, there were no lights or windows, but the tapping or his hooves on the steel made a sort of, echolocation. He put his claw upon the wall and then rested his head against it. It felt odd. Of all the times he had felt the wall, it had been cold, hard, but this time it was...warm...and soft. He lifted his head and tapped the wall. It moved. Kraag jumped back and his jaws opened as he snarled. He punched the wall. It made a squishing sound. He punched again. It felt like it dented and squished again. He then walked over the the opposite wall and charged the soft wall. It gave way with a sickening crack and slush. His eyes dilated as he burst into the light. He cried loudly.
"KRAAG FREE! KRAAG FREE!"
He threw his fists into the air and roared. He then heard a snarl. His eyes flicked open. Standing three feet away from him, was a flood combat form. It had been years since he had last fought a flood. The last time being on Beta Halol. He leaped into the air and tore off the arm of the montrosity. It roared and fell backwards. Kraag thrust his claws deep within the monsters chest and ripped out the infection form. It squirmed in his hands and tried to bite him. He chuckled and then proceeded to crush it. He looked up to see the entire prison area covered in flood residue. Corpses lied everywhere. A needler lay on the floor. Somone had been here. The grip felt warm...and was not covered in flood markings...but in fur. Now comes the hard part....find survivors...

KarMegus got into the phantom. The Demon was here, but his first priority was to protect Truth. A green glob of plasma flew at Truth. One of the Honor Gaurds lept in front of it, and began writhing on the ground in pain. KarMegus looked and saw a Flood Combat Form, shooting plasma at Truth. "How did it get on the Phantom?!" yelled Truth. He recieved no answer, because the combat form was soon accompanied by more, including 3 carrier forms. KarMegus realized their plan. They wanted Truth. But until KarMegus was cold and dead, they would not have him!

We need a new body. One thats good. This one should suffice. But its still alive. This will be difficult. But We have a plan. "If they succeed in their plans, our plan shall be a failure..."
