| KNIFE: The weapon I prefer to get rid of right away. This weapon is close to useless unless you're in desperate need. I recommend not using it at all unless you have to. Like at the beginning of Chris' adventure. It may be good against crows and other small enemies but I still would recommend the handgun instead. So in short terms just throw the damn thing in your item box. BERETTA: The most preferred weapon for pretty much the whole first 1/4th of the game. You should use this on all of the easy enemies like zombies, Cerberus, crows, bees, and snakes. But once you get through the mansion and up to the guardhouse by then you should be using the shotgun as your all around weapon because the handgun isn't very effective against the stronger enemies. Keep it in your inventory for pretty much the whole game because you'll come across a couple of weak enemies every once in awhile. SHOTGUN: Probably the best all around weapon throughout the whole game. You find a pretty good amount of ammo for it and it's quick in killing enemies. Take out zombie's heads with it because you'll save ammo instead of chest shots, which take 2 or 3. Don't use it against dogs because it'll take the same amount of shotgun shells to kill it, as it will handgun bullets. But I recommend always having it equipped up until the lab. BAZOOKA: Another weapon that should only be used on tougher enemies. Although not as powerful as the magnum you can get up to 3 different types of ammo for it- Grenade rounds, Flame rounds, and Acid rounds. All of the ammo does about the same amount of damage. Flame rounds are more rare to find then Acid rounds and Grenade rounds. Don't use the bazooka for long range shooting because the rounds don't fire that far. COLT PYTHON: Another weapon that you should always have in your inventory during your return to the mansion. It's the most powerful besides for the rocket launcher. You should always use this against Hunters because it'll take them out in one shot. Since you don't get very much ammo for it only use it on the tougher enemies. Definitely use it in the Hunter-infested underground passageway. Otherwise called the caves(My Fav. of the game). FLAME THROWER: The least used and found weapon in the game. You can only find and use this gun in Chris's game plus it's not even really that big of a deal. It's not very powerful and you run out of ammo really quickly. Since you can only use this in the caves you're gonna have a tough time against the enemies since the only enemies are Hunters. They're too quick to simply stay in your cloud of fire so it's not a very trusty weapon. Only take it since you have to. ROCKET LAUNCHER: The all-time most powerful weapon in the game but then again most rare. You can only get it at the very end of the game in the final battle against the Tyrant. With only 4 rockets that is. This can kill all the enemies, besides the bosses, in one shot. If you can manage to beat the game in under 3 hours then you'll be awarded with the rocket launcher and unlimited ammo in your next game. If you save it to a memory card that is. |
