| KNIFE: The weakest weapon in the game yet again. This time it's more powerful then the other Resident Evils though. It can strike several times in one slash. Zombies will be quicker to kill now. Again you should only use this on single zombies and at the beginning of the game when you don't have much ammo. Otherwise use a pistol instead. HANDGUN: Claire's standard clip holds 15 bullets while Chris's holds 18. Both do the same amount of damage though. They're slow but they're a good all around weapon. Most likely you'll want to use this on zombies and dogs alone from a medium to long distance. Replace with a shotgun once you get one. SHOTGUN: Very effective at close range but at long range it's close to useless. It's good against zombies, dogs, spiders, and other weaker enemies. Sometimes it's even good against big guys. One of the disappointments about this is that you can't use it in as many ways as you could in the previous Resident Evils. You can still blast off heads with a close up shot but you can't blow zombies in half anymore. That was one of the coolest parts. DOUBLE AUTOMATICS: Two pistols for the price of two... It's exactly what it says. Two pistols which you can hold at the same time like the Double Uzis. But it takes up 2 inventory slots. So carrying them around is kind of a pain because you can do the same amount of damage with a regular pistol but with just half the time. Uses a percentage rather then ammo amount. DUAL UZIS: Steve teaches you the technique of how to use these. Once taught you can then use them to take out enemies twice as fast. She automatically aims at an enemy either both guns pointed at one guy or they can be aimed at two different enemies at the same time. Better then the regular pistol and twice as fast. Hold down the button to fire like a machine gun but your ammo drops really fast. GRENADE LAUNCHER: Quite powerful but ammo isn't very plentiful. You'll find grenade rounds (good for close-range shots) more often then acid and flame rounds. Flame and acid rounds are a lot more powerful the grenade rounds but are really rare to come by. Save it for the tougher enemies. MAGNUM: Again the best and one of the most powerful weapons in the game. It can stop any enemy including the big guys with one shot but it's major drawback is it's lack of ammo. Ammo is extremely rare... close to none. Definitely only use when you have to. Preferrably against the big guys(Fav of the game). CROSSBOW: Not very effective at all even against the easy enemies. It takes about 15 arrows to kill a single zombie from medium distance. It's good quality is that ammo is easy to come by and there's plenty of it. But I still recommend to use it sparingly. Shouldn't be used as an all around weapon. AK-47 RIFLE: A lot like the submachine gun from RE2 and RE3. It's effective against almost everything except bosses. It also uses a percentage rather then ammo count and takes up 2 inventory slots too. Pretty much the same thing as the double uzis, just that it aims at one enemy alone. |
