Jill: He doesn't look too good Chris.
Scientist: Oh thank GOD! I've been saved....... I've finally been saved.
Chris: What's going on here? Why were you locked in the bathroom?
Scientist: Have you seen what's been creeping around these halls. They are
the reason I locked myself in. I don't know how long I've been in there.
I've been living off the water from the faucet. At least they didn't
contaminate the water.Chris: Excuse me, Who is they?
Scientist: ........Oh what do I care they tried to kill us all anyway. This
compound is a secret lab for Umbrella. Many of the people in this town work
for them. But what we do in this lab is different from those other plants. I
am ...or was a part of a group of 57 scientist brought in to work on a
biological virus. They were trying to make the perfect soldier. Someone who
didn't feel pain or remorse. And most of all someone expendable. They named
it the T-virus. It was to turn humans into these 'soldiers'. I know they
were other experiments going on here. The others and I heard hellish banshee
screams in the night that couldn't possibly come from anything we know on
that exists on earth. One day there was an ...accident, the virus got leakedout.
Chris: How did the accident happen?
Scientist: No one knew. We suspected that it had been planned. Umbrella
pulling up stakes and covering their tracks. Someone had been spreading it
around that they had completed an 'ultimate weapon' and our work was no
longer needed. Well they went along with the guise that it was all an
accident. Some of the scientist began to blister up and ...change. The
compound went into lock down after that. No one was allowed to leave or have
any contact with the outside world. Which struck us as strange. After awhile
almost all of us had gotten infected. Towards the end there was only a
handful of us who hadn't. Then one night I woke up to hear scraping at my
door. I got out of bed and opened the door. I saw my fellow scientists as
you see them now wandering the halls. No sign of intellect in their eyes.
One grabbed me and I tried to shut the door but he broke it right off the
hinges. It wouldn't let go of me until my shirt ripped I got up and ran down
the hall and found the others there. I ran to my friend Stephen's room
but... he was dead. I came across this room with the key in the door so I
went in and locked it from the inside. I stayed quiet when I heard them
scuffling by so I wouldn't attract their attention.
Chris: Come on your coming with us we have to signal the helicopter to pick
us up.Scientist: ...................No. ....It's better that I don't go with you
guys. A few days ago I noticed this.
He turns around and lifts up the back of his torn shirt. Chris and Jill see
a huge boil in the middle of his back.
Scientist: See it has already begun. I didn't escape it after all. There's
nothing that can be done.... I'll stay here.Chris: ..............
Chris and Jill stand in silence outside of the door for a while and hear the
man lock the door back up. They look at one another then return to theirsearch.
Chris: Huh this door's unlocked but somethings blocking it.
Chris stands back then rams into the door breaking it open enough for him
and Jill to step through. They step around the corner and see a young woman
crouched next to a man's body on the floor with a gun pointed at them.
Chris and Jill: Richard!!
The girl lowers her gun as Chris and Jill go to Richard Aiken's side.
Richard is having a hard time focusing on the two figures but he identifies
the closest one instantly.Richard: Kris.Chris: Rich what happened?
Richard: S-snake...
Girl: Richard's been poisoned but look at the size of this snake bite.
Jill: Oh my!Richard: H-huge ssnake...
Girl: I'm doing what I can but I don't have anything strong enough for him.
We found a small med lab near the back of the mansion I was just about to go
back there. I don't think I should leave Richard's side Will you go to the
lab for me.
Chris and Jill open the door and walk out onto the second story of the main
hall. There is a distinct 'shoosh shoosh' sound. Chris and Jill stop to
listen. They both get down on the floor and crawl to the edge and look down.
Chris: Holy...Jill covers Chris's mouth with her hand to stifle him.Jill: sshhh
She takes her hand and the look down to see a horde of zombies walking
around the lower floor of the main hall. Chris looks at Jill and points to
the doorway on the opposite side of the seconds floor. they begin to army
crawl over to the door. When they get halfway the floor creaks loudly underJill.
Zombie: HowwwwarruuuChris: Shit we've been spotted.
They get up and run to the other doorway.
Chris: We'll have to come back another way.
Jill: We don't have time to go exploring we have to take the chance of
coming back this way if we get lost Richard could die.Chris: Look I...
Chris is still arguing with Jill when he opens the door. Chris swings the
door open and as he turns his head he almost collides with one of the
house's residences, a nasty green humanoid reptile named a hunter. The
hunter is as surprised as Chris is for a split second and then makes a
mighty swipe at him. Chris falls backward tripping over his own feet in the
sudden burst of his reflexes. Jill blasts the beast in the head. She turns
to Chris and extends her hand to him.Jill: Enjoying your nap.
Chris smiles at her having to bite the bullet on this one.Chris: ...thanks
Jill: What?Chris: (clears throat) Thank You.Jill: Anytime partner.
Chris: What in the hell is this?
Jill: Must be one of those things that guy was talking about, let's get
going. We haven't got the time to dawdle with Richard's life on the line.
Chris: Yeah we have visitors coming up the stairs. Look.
Jill turns her head. A few zombies have strayed from the pack to check out
the commotion.race to find anti venomChris: Richard we found the anti-venom!
Richard's body spasms.Richard: huwuh ah... Krrriss...
Jill: Don't try to speak Richard. Save your strength.
Jill grabs one of Richard's Hands. He grabs on tight. His face is contorted
from the pain.Richard: huautChris hands the anti venom to the girl.
Richard: hehhh et's too lllate....Jill: Richard.
The girl grabs Richard's other hand with both of hers and leans in close to
talk to him.
Girl: Richard it's a really powerful shot your body is going to feel a jolt.
She injects it in his arm and then takes his hand again and places her other
hand on his chest to hold him down. Chris holds his legs down. Richard
starts convulsing.Richard: WHHHOOOOO EETTTTT!!!! HAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!!
A zombie breaks into the room. Chris whips around taking his hands off of
Richard's legs to grab his gun. One of Richard's legs jerks up enough to
knock Chris' gun out of his hand, it slides over closer to the zombie.
Chris: Shit.
Chris scrambles over to the gun, picking it up, he swings it directly up
knocking the zombie alongside the head. Before the zombie can get it's
balance Chris shoots it down. Chris returns to Richard's side, he's no
longer spasming. The girl is almost in tears.
Girl: His body c-couldn't h-handle it.
Chris bows down his head in silence. Jill tries to comfort the young woman
who still hasn't let go of Richard's hand.
Jill: It's okay he was going to die anyway, we did the best that we could.
Girl: No... I wasn't a good enough medic to treat him. He died because of my
inexperience. He was like a brother to me. Why did this have to happen.
Jill puts her arms around the girl to soothe her.
Jill: We need to stick together. I'm Jill Valentine and he's Chris Redfield.
We're from the Alpha team.
Girl: I'm Rebecca Chambers. I'm the newest recruit of the Bravo Team.exploring
Jill, Chris and Rebecca are walking down the stairs to the first floor of
the mansion. Rebecca looks over the side of the rail. Her eyes widen.
Rebecca: Chris look out!
Rebecca pulls Chris back against her on the stairs, toppling them both over,
just before being pounced on
by a hunter. A mixed species of Reptile, tiger, and man. Chris instantly
fills the creature with three blasts from his shotgun. Catching his breath
laying back against Rebecca on the stairs.Chris: ...Phew. Thank you Rebecca.
Rebecca: You'd do the same for me, wouldn't you Chris.Chris: I guarantee it.
Rebecca smiles ear to ear and Chris knows that the twinkle in her eyes mean
that she's infatuated withhim.Jill: O.K.! Lets get going!
Jill grabs Chris by the vest on the way past dragging him to his feet.
Jill: Come on.
Jill and Chris walking ahead of Rebecca just enough to be out of ear shot.
Jill in a mocking tone.Jill: You'd do the same for me, wouldn't you Chris. ick
Chris: What?Jill: Chris what are you doing, she's your sister's age.
That froze Chris dead in his tracks. Not just because he hadn't thought of
it that way but because heremembered his sister.
Chris: Boy I'm glad Claire isn't here, having to deal with this insanity.
Jill: Yes and what would she say if she saw you flirting with someone barely
old enough to vote.Chris: Am I detecting a bit of jealousy?
Jill: What? You're dreaming, Chris. You must have bumped your head orsomething.
Chris: (smiling) And what would you call it? What you're doing right now.
Jill: I would call it genuine concern for a partner, and a friend. You need
to keep your head about you in this situation and not to mention leading
this poor young girl on.exploringJill: Barry!!
Barry turns around visibly shocked by their intrusion. Jill runs up to her
old partner and gives him a big hug.Jill: You're alive!
Barry: (a little uneasy) er....of course you didn't think I'd go that easy
would you.Jill makes a little laugh.
Jill: After you and Wesker didn't come in after us I thought those dogs gotyou.
Barry acting badly like he's making it up on the spot. Trying to give some
sort of clue that something is wrong.
Barry: .....uh yes well I jump the fence on the side of the house and came
in uh through the door there.
Chris stares at Barry noticeing how strangly he's acting.
Jill: What about Wesker?Barry: Wesker? uh I have no idea.
Chris: (flatly) Let's go.
Jill: What? Chris we just found Barry why are you such in a hurry to go out
there again.
Barry: No! Chris is right we should get going we'll have time to catch uplater.
The team go back out the door. The room is silent. the closet door creaks
open and Wesker steps out gun in hand.Wesker: Hmph.
Someone: Hold it, identify yourself and step out slowly.
Rebecca: Enrico, is that you?Enrico: Rebecca, my god your still alive.
Rebecca steps out from Chris and Jill and runs to Enrico's side. Rebecca
checks Enrico out.
Rebecca: Enrico your hurt pretty bad, there's not much I can do for you.
Enrico: I know... I know darlin'. Someone fed me to those ....green scaly
bastards.Chris: Someone?
Enrico: I don't know who ....but someone set a trap for me, and I know it
wasn't those .....stupid zombies, or any of those other creatures. It had to
have been a person. I was locked ....into a room with five of those things.
I got them .....but not without one of them giving me this as a memento.
Enrico looks down at his ripped torso.
Enrico: When our helicopter crashed .....we were chased by those mad ass
devil dogs. We got scattered. Forest and I ......entered the building
together. We were looking for the other members...... Forest got attacked,
pecked to death by those damn crows. I tried to help him...... but they
would have got me too.
Jill: We found Forest on the balcony, he had 'changed'. Chris put him down.
Chris: May his soul find peace.
Enrico is silent he turns his head towards Rebecca.
Enrico: I'm glad Rebecca.... that you survived.
Rebecca gives a brief smile then is overtaken by the mortal wound in her
team leader's chest. She looksaway blinking back tears.
Enrico: What of the others?Chris: We lost everyoneEnrico: What about Barry?
Jill: What Barry's with us...She turns her head looking for him.
Chris: Now Barry's gone.
Chris walks down the hallway opening the door to look for him.
Chris: Barry! ..............Barry!
Rebecca: Richard and I came into together. He had me stay where it was safe
and he explored the rooms making sure it was clear. Rich...uh...ran into a
mammoth snake. I didn't have anything powerful enough for the poison...
Jill: We all tried to save him.
Rebecca: He died in my arms. I was holding his hand until...until it just
didn't squeeze back.
Rebecca turns and burst into tears, not able to control it anymore.
Enrico: Rebecca.... look at me. Look at me. You must be strong..... you must
survive....... I know it's hard. But you must carry on..... and finish this.
So no one else has to die ..because of this crazy place. You have to do
it.... with Chris and Jill..... Do it for me.... Do it for the others......
Go now..... Leave before you have to see me die too......... Go now findBarry.
With tears streaming down her cheeks, Rebecca nods and gets up and stands
next to Jill. The three of them stand in silence. Then Jill and Rebecca walk
to the doorway and leave with Chris. Enrico slides down the wall to the
floor. He looks at the blood on his hand from his gut wound.Enrico: Ah hell.
exploringJill, Chris, and Rebecca are exploring the underground pathway from the
mansion to Umbrella's secret laboratory.
The three come around a corner to find their leader Albert Wesker waiting
for them at the gates of the lab.Chris: Wesker!
Wesker: Ah, you're alive! Thank god I thought everyone was killed. We must
be the last four surviving members out of the original eleven from STARS
Alpha and Bravo teams.Chris: Five counting Brad. He's still circling over head.
Jill: Barry, what about Barry?Wesker: I'm sorry... he didn't make it.
Chris and Jill look away, remembering their old partner.
Chris: Edward, Joseph, Kenneth, Forest, Richard, Enrico, and now Barry. This
place is a nightmare!Wesker: Enrico? You found Enrico?Chris: Yes.
Something about Wesker's reaction doesn't sit well with Chris. Chris stares
at Wesker, trying to see his eyes behind his perpetual tinted shades.
Wesker: Well this is Umbrella's underground lab. We need to put an end to
this place. I have a layout of this lab and if we set up a bomb...here
Pointing at the basement
Wesker: A lot of these pipes are running combustible gases through them, if
a bomb goes off at the center of it then this whole place will go up.
Rebecca you have knowledge of triggering systems for bombs, you and Chris go
to the basement and plant this bomb. Jill, you and I are going to shut this
place down from the control room, here. We're going to lock all doors
leading out so nothing more can escape before this place goes up. Then we'll
go to the helipad to signal the chopper, and wait for Chris and Rebecca.
Then we're getting the HELL outta here!Jill and Wesker run off
Chris and Rebecca fight their way to the basementexploring
Chris finds files linking Wesker to umbrellaWesker holding Chris at gun point.
Wesker: Drop it Chris.
Chris: Albert Wesker, Umbrella Research and Development Staff. You brought
all of us here to die! To play with your new pet. So... (looking around)
where is it?
Wesker: Don't cop an attitude with me Chris. I don't really give a shit how
you go out. I don't need the test data to know that Tyrant is perfect but
I'm going to let you meet him for my own personal satisfaction.
Chris is silent. Wesker nods in the direction of something coming behind
Chris. Chris turns his head a fraction to see Barry with a gun aimed on him.
Chris: Barry?!Barry: Sorry Chris...I had no choice.
Wesker: Yes Barry is sorry, isn't he. His snooping in Umbrella's affairs got
his family kidnapped, so now he works for me in return for their safety. So
why don't you be a good little boy and drop the weapon and kick it over tome.
Rebecca: Not so fast!Rebecca jumps out behind Barry with a gun to his back.
Chris: Rebecca!
Wesker: Ah there you are. This takes the trouble out of having to hunt youdown.
Rebecca: Shut up! Because of you Richard and Enrico are dead. They and the
rest of the Bravo team were the closest thing I had to a family and you took
them.Her dramatics leave her exposed enough for Wesker to take advantage of it.
He shoots her.Wesker: (sighs) touchingChris: Rebecca!!
Wesker whacks Chris up side the head with his gun and grabs Chris' weapon
off of him.Wesker: Barry take the girl out of here.
Barry picks up Rebecca's body and walks out of the room.
Wesker: Now Chris I have a surprise for you.Chris: Bastard!
Wesker: Oh, don't worry yourself so much about her you should keep your wits
about you. You're going to need them in the next couple of minutes.
Wesker grabs Chris' arm and escorts him in to the lab room. What Chris sees
makes his jaw drop.There before him is a nine foot tall monster.
Chris: What in God's name...
Wesker: Do you like it. It's what we've been working so diligently for.
Chris peers at the looming figure of the largest monster he has ever seen
Wesker: Chris this is Tyrant. The Ultimate Soldier. He isn't quite finished
yet, because well, all the staff are dead. But Tyrant is far enough along
that we don't need them anymore. He's more than enough to be able to finish
off you and Jill.Chris: Jill still alive! Where are you keeping her!
Wesker: You'll never know.
Wesker presses the activation code to stimulate Tyrants mind to awaken him.
While Wesker is distracted by the glory of his frankenstein, Chris picks up
a lab chair and cracks Wesker a good one with it. Then he smashes the
console. Chris picks up his gun and turns to see the Tyrant walking towards
Wesker not him. Wesker picks himself off the ground, still dizzied by being
whapped with the chair. He looks up to see the Tyrant standing in front of
him looking down on him.Wesker: What?
Scared Wesker tries to back up, he pulls his gun out on the Tyrant. The
beast grabs with his normal hand over the top of Wesker's gun and hand and
picks him off the ground. Wesker begins shooting into the Tyrant's hand.
Unfazed the Tyrant picks him up higher then jams his razor sharp claw hand
into Wesker's gut then slams him down on the ground knocking the air out of
him. Wesker, gasping for air, raises his gun up to the Tyrant and shoots the
rest of the clip into his chest. Wesker looks at the gun then drops it to
the ground. The Tyrant raises his foot above Wesker's head and brings it
down ending his life. The Tyrant lifts it's gaze from the bloody heap on the
ground to the flapping doors at the end of the room.
Chris bolts down the hallway.
Around the curve a young woman is walking his direction.
Chris: Rebecca, you're alive.
Rebecca: Seems this bullet proof jacket is pretty strong huh Chris.
Barry walking up behind.
Barry: Chris I just wanted to say I'm sorry. I didn't know what to do... I
Chris: That's fine Barry, I understand. Do you know where there hiding Jill.
Barry: Yes I do. But someone has to go up top to signal Brad to pick us up
before this place explodes.Rebecca: I can do it.
Barry: Here take this flare. Go to the elevator down this hallway on the
right and go up to the helipad.Rebecca: Okay
Rebecca runs off down the hallway to the elevator.Barry: Follow me Chris.
Chris and Barry run down a series of hallways to Jill's cell.
Chris: Jill, Jill are you there?
Jill peaking out of the tiny slot in the metal door.
Jill: Chris thank god. Chris, Wesker is...Chris: Yes I know
Chris opens the door. Jill steps into view of Barry.Jill: (angry) Barry!
Barry: Jill I'm sorry it's a long story.
Chris: Yeah we better get going we haven't got much time left.
The three run back down the winding hallways. When they reach a T section
they notice they have
company. The Tyrant was wasting no time hunting down it's prey. They run to
the right. Barry and
Chris fire behind at the Tyrant who is not slowing down and not taking any
effect of the bullet
blasts. It keeps pressing onward, scraping after them. They reached a dead
end with a ladder. Nowhere to go but up.Barry: I'll hold him off.Chris: Barry?!
Barry: You two escape I'll be right after you.
Chris looks at Barry and gives a quick nod.
