| Kurt Cobain was born Kurdt Donald Cobain in 1967. He died in 1994 of a gun shot wound to the head from a 20 gauge shotgun. He was only 27 years old. Some say that he killed himself because he wanted to be a Rock and Roll martyr, like Jim Morrison and Janis Joplin. But others believe that he was murdered. Private Investigator, Tom Grant, that was hired by Courtney Love to find Kurt after he went missing on April 2, 1994, found evidence that makes his death seem less like a suicide. He was not suicidal, he just wanted out of the music business. It wasn't making him happy. He felt cheap and didn't want to fool his fans anymore. His "suicide" note was not a note to Courtney and his daughter, but to his fans. He was just explaining how he wanted to quit the music business while he was ahead and get away from his oppressive wife. He did not want out of life, just out of the bad environment that he was in. I am a big fan of Nirvana and Kurt. I believe that he was one of the greatest (maybe the best) grunge rockers out there. No one will ever top Kurt, no matter how hard they try. R.I.P. Kurt!!! |
