| Ballads and poems by curious hares and adorable dibbuns, and other thingawots |
Tea lilly watched the silly hare do a ballad on top of the table. He had a funny accent and his ballad was very entertaining.when he was through he sat down and ate an entire depper n' ever pie! The cute little dibbuns did a little ditty they had memorized about her arrival, (the whole time calling her tea-scrawny.)Tea lilly loved the food. She was glad to see that the friar had found his redwall cookbook. The cordial was deliciouse, the pie was scrumtiouse it seemed to tea lilly that there was never enough in her stomach. The food was perfect and the entertainment was delightful. Tea lilly sat next to Matt.He was very handsome in his new habit, and quite funny. They continued talking and then came more ballads, ditties and poems. Some were done by the hares of the long patrol. They seemed very cheerful and unseriouse but tea lilly knew warriors when she saw them, and this long patrol, they had more to them than clever ballads and last minute ditties. She could tell. Though through all the fun and food, Tea lilly couldn't take her eyes off Matt, until of course when he saw her watching him. Then she looked at the floor....and blushed.
These were some of the ballads, poems and ditties recited that night. Please write on and e-mail it to me so I can put it on this page.
Father abbot got up early,
and then woke up the day.
he went outside 'n the orchard,
where the where the nummies stay.
the morn was crisp, and sunny,
he looked o'er by the gates,
and then he saw tea-scrawny!
let us talk of 'er just you wait,
oh tea-scrawny she was a pretty 'un,
oh tea-scrawny call her that to poke some fun!

(the dibbuns)
a naughty little dibbun, one day did want some fizz.
he got his friends to cover. they said they would for him.
he went into the cellar where the barrels were stacked high,
and stole away a flask of fizz, and crept away for pie.
mother abbess asked him where he'd been. he answered, "in the tub"
she said " than how come the fizz that's on your face is missing from the jug?"

last night a long time ago,
an old rabbit with a handsome face,
said the blind squirrel saw the day.
He told me at noon when the sun set,
the crippled otter danced,
and the cordial lost his pants.
The abbot grew young,
and the oven was too cold
that's why this is a true lie I have told.

Moonmist and tea lilly one day felt silly
and decided to play some jokes.
They rounded up dibbuns,
and told them to begin
so they all ran around playing wild.
