Our Aim
Redrosebush Press is a unique publishing company, created to get everyone who desire into print. Our belief is that "Everyone Has The Right To See Themselves In Print." We charge no reading fees, there is no need to subscribe. The first time I publish your poetry, I will send you a copy of the magazine in which it appears. I guarantee to publish everyone who wishes, at least once in Portals, A quarterly showcase for poets. The only exception is pornography. I do not judge your talent. I give you the opportunity to see your name in print. For other writers, I have created PennyALiner. In Penny, I publish short stories, anecdotes, jokes, cartoons and some poetry. PennyALiner pays a penny a word plus a copy. Again, there are no fees to be published at least one time.
Poetry
My River

She wends her way
tirelessly, courageously
through history.
She shelters waterfowl
and fish of all descriptions.
She nourishes the land
She causes the desert to bloom and
orchards to bring forth abundant fruit.
She keeps the secret knowledge
of indians who fished along her banks,
of prehistoric men who hunted and
lived along her shores.
She's mother to this valley
She's beautiful, glorious, majestic.
She's one of a kind . . .
She's mine . . .
She's the mighty . . .

Girl

Once there was a little girl but she grew and became a big girl. People said how tall she had gotten over the summer. Then she went to school and her teacher told her she was bad for not learning her times tables. Then she was a tall bad girl. But then her cousin came and was the same age but even taller and she played with her cousin and was good and got a lollypop so she was a medium - sized good girl. Then she went back to school where she was a tall bad girl and played on the monkey bars and made friends with Susan but not with Doris and Susan liked her and Doris said her dress was ugly. But the recess was over and they went back to the classroom and the teacher asked a question and the little big medium - sized good bad girl raised her ugly pretty hand because she knew the answer.
