I began my reading journal back in September 1964 - yes, it's obsessive and compulsive but it's been a lot of fun, and though I've missed logging a few books along the way in the whole scheme of things they may amount to only a couple of dozen titles. Even now someone can mention a book but a search through my reading list (which I also have on disk these days) will come up empty - I know I've read the book but it must just be one of those that fell through the cracks down through the years. Heck, even in political polls there's a margin of error, right? So I guess I'm entitled to lose a few titles over time.

In the beginning......well, I just kept a small spiral notebook. I didn't even list the author's name until January 1974, or give the book a rating or list the genre until January 1984 so you'll see that the Reading List has evolved through the years.

If you've read this far (thank you!) and see a blank space where an author's name should be and you know who the author is, I'd appreciate your input. With all the reference and resource material available to readers these days I was able to fill in a LOT of blanks but there are still many gaps in my authors. The other side of the coin is: if I've listed an INCORRECT author please let me know. So, here we go . . . .
