The 1980s was truly the decade of the categories - and did I ever read my fair share: Special Editions, Desires, Ecstasies, Loveswepts, Raptures, Second Chance at Love. So many of the categories are gone now, rare now in most used book stores and sometimes hard to find but many of today's super-star writers had their roots in the categories.
