Pokemon Stadium 2
First off, there is the learning mode. This helps players who don't know how to play to learn to play. There are different ranks, so the better you get, the better your rank until you graduate. The Event Battle mode is a little different than your Game Boy battles. There is a set time limit, from total battle time (5-90 min.) to turn time (10-90 sec.). Next is research mode. This is your Pokédex, letting you draw data from your GB game and view the monsters you have seen in a 3D Pokédex. Winners Castle is a tournament mode, like the Elite Four, only there are 6. Then, there is the mini-game club. This mode contains 9 mini-games that you use your Pokémon in to battle.
You can play with up to four players, sort of like Mario Party's games. Another mode is Free Battle. This is just like normal battle from your Game Boy game and the original Pokémon Stadium, but this time, you are teamed up with one other person. This makes a total combination of 12 monsters on each side, and each person controls their monsters, respectively. The last mode known of now is the GB mode. This is exactly like a Super Gameboy, playing your Pokémon game through your travel pack. Although the games seems like it would be a lot of fun, no one is quite sure which version is coming to America. |
