Azure Point
I found a bottle yesterday;
a piece of parchment rolled up inside.
I opened it, and with blooming curiosity,
unfolded it to see what message it might provide.
But much to my suprize i found
instead a tear stained mess
with words clear here and there.
I took it home with me that day
in hopes I might figure out what it'd say.
With determination and curiosity
I set to work on deciphering this mystery.
The words that clearly i could read
were: of, me, love and agony.
All of which brought out the detective in me...
I set on my way to drying the page
and worked with weird gadgets galore.
Special restoration mixes, kits ectsetara
All that I bought at a private-eye store.
Much of it brought me nowhere,
but with the tear smeared mess, I found
a couple beacame more clear
and with that i began to find more background.
As days went on, becoming weeks,
the peices of the puzzle fell into place.
and it finally seemed to make sense,
which brought a smile to my face.
Now to read what i had discovered:
A love letter lost at sea, and one i'd recovered.
And just as i began to read,
I felt my heart tear for the mysterious lovers
and tears came to my eyes.
Drop by drop, the letter's words
became stained with new tears.
I had seen the reason why
the letter was ruined from a painful cry.
I rolled up the ink bled parchment
and placed it back in the bottle.
On that night, months after I had found it,
I went back, and tossed it to the sea
It's contents remaining in my memory.
