The Tobacco Industry tries to make smoking seem glamorous and cool -"the thing to do." They also say smoking isn't that bad for you. They say tobacco is natural -it's no more dangerous, they say, than breathing in smoke from a campfire or burning leaves. Yeah, right! How natural is Cadmium? How about Formaldehyde? Did you suck in much Hydrogen Cyanide the last time you went camping? Not likely. The truth is that every smoke's got 4,000 chemicals in it. 4,000 poisonous chemicals! And over 50 of those are what's called "Class A Carcinogens" ... that's a fancy way of saying: "you eat it, you touch it, you smoke it, and sooner or later, you're getting cancer." And you know the worst of it? The Tobacco Industry has put many of these chemicals into cigarettes to make them more addictive. So, what really lies beneath the surface of those black, stinking fumes? Try these:

otherwise known as paint stripper
a.k.a. embalming fluid - you know, the stuff they use to preserve dead frogs in bottles?
ever hear of lead poisoning? It gives you brain damage.
the same stuff they use to make pesticides and gasoline - you wouldn't eat pesticide would you?
what more can we say? It's addictive as hell... check out the next page.
a.k.a. insecticide

better known as battery acid - a little of this stuff stays in your body for years.
wrap your lips around the exhaust pipe of a car - same gas, just as stupid
one of the most powerful cancer-causing substances on the planet ... and it's right there in every cigarette.
very same stuff we use to clean our toilet. How did it get in cigarettes? The Tobacco Industry put it there, of course -- because it makes nicotine more addictive.
the same poison used in gas chambers... seriously.
poison, poison, poison
kills bugs... go lick a flea collar... same thing.
