Moonlight shimmers off of the waters surface,
the water's so dark and cold
Deep within the waters depths,
are stories, all untold.
Joining the river banks are miles of land covered with snow
Where this land all leads off to, I truly do not know.
Scattered around this lonely land are trees that a bare no leaves.
They couldn't survive the cold chill. They died in the big freeze.
Flowers lay on they ground, killed by the cold
not surviving to bloom their petals because the frost took hold.
Along the horizon are mountains that go up oh so high
their snow covered peaks seem to pierce the black velvet sky.
The darkness is so frightening, as the blackness blinds me
The snow seems to glimmer, but still it's hard to see
the thunderous silence deafens me, for there isn't a single sound.
Where is this lonely and cold, cold place?
Within my heart it is found.
