date unknown
While playing for Ulis, the club proposes 400m running, but thankfully Mr. Henry stuck firmly with football.
1992
Signed with French club Versailles. Note: Here I lost track of the timeline. The Vineyard of Les Blues said Mr. Henry joined Versailles between 1992-1993, but also that he signed with Monaco in 1990 and under Arsene Wenger's tutelage debuted... etc etc. Help me clear this up, right?
1993
Signed with French first division Monaco at 13 after attracting a scout's attention in southern Paris by scoring six goals in a single match (which his team won, 6-0), during his Ulis days. Anyone have that game on tape, I want a copy, right?
1994
First division debut against Nice on August 31. A lovely 17th birthday present.
1995
First goals scored in first division -- read, goals with an 's' -- two in a smashing 6-0 victory against RC Lens, circa April 29
1996
Voted Young Footballer of The Year.
Became captain of the French Under-18 side.
A pre-contract with Real Madrid to play with them for 6 years in December, after the Spanish club approached through an agent sadly not registered with UEFA, who got extremely upset as is the nature of large monolithic organizations and, thus incensed, fined both Mr. Henry and the club, the former $66 000. Not a moment to dwell on. It became worse when Madrid demanded either the terms of said contract to be fulfilled or 3(000?) million pesetas in compensation, while Monaco pulled out their hair insisting it was Madrid's fault.
1997
First professional contract signed, with Monaco, Janaury 13.
With 9 goals in 36 matches, Mr. Henry assists Monaco in the winning of the French league championship in May.
Quarter-finals of World Youth championship with France in Malaysia in June. No one told me or I would have been there. Bloody FAM.
In the World Cup warm-up against South Africa in Lens, first of nine French caps won on October 11.
1998
Playing for Les Blues in the World Cup finals, scoring three goals in six matches, eleven appearances (you do the math) to therefore be their top scorer and thus quenching the French team's insatiable thirst for a ball-netter but inexplicably benched for the 3-0 victory over Brazil in the finals.
1999
Signed for Juventus (Italy's serie A) on January 18 but did not get to see as much action there.
Joined Arsenal on August 3rd to subsequently kick butt in the English Premier League.
2000
Finished the Premier League with 26 goals as the league's third top scorer.
Won the Henri Delauney cup in the Euro2000 Championships with France as their main striker, scoring three goals (again!) in five matches between 11th June to 2nd July.
