THE ONE WITH ROSS' NEW GIRLFRIEND - SEASON PREMIERE (Episode 25)
Rachel waits for Ross at the airport, only to watch him arrive with his new girlfriend, Julie. Rachel tries to flee the scene, but trips and falls on the way, and the three are forced to share a cab ride home. The following day, Rachel digs up Paolo, and fakes affection for him to make Ross jealous. Finally, Rachel decides to tell Ross her feelings, until he tell Rachel that he hopes she finds a relationship as perfect as his and Julie's. Phoebe does such a fabulous job cutting Chandler and Joey's hair, that Monica asks for a trim. Phoebe misunderstands, and cuts her hair like Dudley - not Demi - Moore's.

THE ONE WITH THE BREAST MILK (Episode 26)
Rachel demands that no one become friends with Julie. However, Monica thinks she's interesting, and secretly gets to know her, and Rachel discovers their 'affair' by following a trail of receipts. Eventually, Rachel runs into Julie at the coffeehouse, and the two get along. Phoebe tastes a bottle filled with Carol's breast milk, which the guys find gross, but the girls understand. Susan brags that she's tasted it, and Ross finally gives in, refusing to be bettered. Meanwhile, Joey has a duel with a cologne-spritzer at Bloomingdale's, to see who's trigger finger is faster.

THE ONE WHERE HECKLES DIES (Episode 27)
Crazy neighbor, Mr. Heclkes, dies and leaves the gang the contents of his apartment, which is his way of getting the last laugh. As they sift through his things, Chandler begins to identify with him: a kid at heart, who's never found anyone to love. Distraught he may end up like Heckles, Chandler goes to find the one woman he's ever loved, Janis. Rachel takes an antique lamp from Heckles' apartment, which leads to a rift between her and Monica. Meanwhile, spiritual Phoebe and scientific Phoebe debate over evolution.

THE ONE WITH PHOEBE'S HUSBAND (Episode 28)
Chandler has a third nipple! After that revelation, the gang has a heart-to-heart where they reveal their deepest secrets. Ross admits he hasn't been intimate with Julie yet, and Rachel tries adamantly to convince him to move slowly. Phoebe admits she has a husband, a Canadian ice-dancer named Duncan, who she married to help him get a green card. Duncan returns to tell Phoebe he wants a divorce, because he's getting married for real. This surprises Phoebe, as Duncan told her he was gay, which he explains was a lie.

THE ONE WITH THE FIVE STEAKS AND AN EGGPLANT (Episode 29)
Everyone goes to dinner at an expensive restaurant. Joey, Rachel, and Phoebe are careful about what they order, while Monica, Chandler, and Ross go overboard. It comes out that some of the gang are financially challenged, which creates some tension. Even more tension builds when the more-fortunate offer to help the less- with the bill. Monica loses her job, and then she becomes part of the 'lower-class.' An angry woman calls Chandler's, looking for Bob, and Chandler pretends to be him. He meets her at the coffee shop, and helps her feel better, and they start to date. Everything backfires, when the woman calls again and tells 'Bob' that Chandler is nothing compared to him.

THE ONE WITH THE BABY ON THE BUS (Episode 30)
Ross has an allergic reaction, and Monica takes him to the hospital. This leaves Joey and Chandler to watch Ross' baby, Ben. They take Ben on a walk, mostly so they can use Ben to pick up women, but everyone thinks they're gay. Two women finally pick them up on the bus, and in their enthusiasm, they forget Ben. They search desperately, only to find two babies of Ben's description at the Human Service Department. Chandler and Joey know they've chosen right when the baby wails at Monica (Ben hates her), but the plan fails when Ross sees the human Services stamp on his butt. Rachel must fire Phoebe, as Stephanie's been fired to play at Central Perk. Rachel works out a deal where Phoebe plays after Stephanie, but chooses to play for money outside.

THE ONE WHERE ROSS FINDS OUT (Episode 31)
Rachel finds out that Ross and Julie have decided to get a cat, and after a few drinks on a blind date, calls Ross' machine to say she's over him. Ross stops by the next morning, and checks his messages (after significant protest from Rachel), to hear her startling words. Rachel finally explains herself, and Ross is furious she's not said anything, while Rachel is furious that he didn't either. Ross storms out, and Rachel slams the door, but she finds him outside the door, and they kiss. Phoebe and Joey start dating people, who turn out to be mirror images of the other (Joey's girl is like Phoebe, and Phoebe's man is like Joey). Chandler decides to lose weight, and begins working out with Monica. Due to her unemployment, Monica turns into a crazy coach.

THE ONE WITH THE LIST - THANKSGIVING SHOW (Episode 32)
Ross and Rachel vow to keep their kiss secret, as Julie's still in the picture, only for Ross to tell the guys, and Rachel the girls. Ross is torn, and Chandler suggests he make a pro/con list to assist him. He eventually decides to break up with Julie, and Rachel is elated to hear the news. However, she finds the list in Ross' coat and, humiliated by what it says, swears they will never get together. Ross still breaks up with Julie, and decides he'll have to wait. Monica is hired to make sweets with a new chocolate substitute, 'Mock-olate.'

THE ONE WITH PHOEBE'S DAD - HOLIDAY SHOW (Episode 33)
While examining a picture frame, Phoebe sees a picture of her father. No one believes her, but after a visit to her grandmother, Phoebe finds that the pictures of her father were actually pictures of a model. Her grandmother had helped to perpetuate a myth begun by her mother, but Phoebe convinces her grandmother to give Phoebe her father's address. Joey and Chandler go with Phoebe to meet him, but she can't go through with it, and takes a reindeer from his lawn for a souvenir. Instead of gifts, Monica and Rachel bake cookies for the building manager and postman, and they show their discontent by refusing to return maintenance calls and destroying mail. Meanwhile, Ross convinces Rachel to write her own pro/con list as payback for his actions.

THE ONE WITH RUSS (Episode 34)
Joey gets a part in a play, but is devastated when the reviews lambaste him. He vows to quit acting together, until he gets an audition for 'Days of Our Lives.' At the audition, Joey gets the impression the casting director might be making a pass at him, but when he finds the gig is a four-episode stint, he gives into her suggestions. Monica starts dating Bobby again, and learns he's a booze-hound, which is why he's so fun. Rachel starts dating a new guy, who the rest of the gang realizes is a Ross replica.

THE ONE WITH THE LESBIAN WEDDING (Episode 35)
It's wedding time for Carol and Susan, but Carol's parents decide not to come. Susan tries to convince her the wedding is for them, and for the first time ever, Ross sides with Susan. Ross then gives Carol away at the wedding. Rachel's mother comes to visit, and Rachel is concerned she won't approve of her new independent lifestyle. However, her mother is so impressed, that she decides to leave her father. Phoebe is distraught when a customer dies on her massage table, and Phoebe thinks she's assumed the personality of a 78-year-old Jewish woman.

THE ONE AFTER THE SUPERBOWL, PART I (Episode 36)
Ross begins to miss Marcel, his monkey, after spotting him on a commercial. He goes to see him at the San Diego Zoo, only to find Marcel has left for a TV and film career. Joey begins dating Erika, a gorgeous woman, who has trouble differentiating between Joey and 'Dr. Drake Ramoray,' his character on Days of Our Lives. Phoebe begins dating Rob, a library worker who hires Phoebe to play for the children. However, parents become upset with her truthful, but politically incorrect lyrics.

THE ONE AFTER THE SUPERBOWL, PART II (Episode 37)
The gang follows Ross to a movie set to meet Marcel, and Rachel helps a bashful Monica to meet the star, Jean-Claude Van Damme, which backfires when Rachel gets a date herself. Meanwhile, Chandler runs into Susie, the film's make-up artist and a grade school classmate, who promises a romantic evening he'll never forget. Joey manages to get himself a small part in the movie, while Ross is distraught that Marcel's fame keeps getting in the way of their reunion.

THE ONE WITH THE PROM VIDEO (Episode 38)
Monica is offered a job at a hockey restaurant, where her first shift concludes with the staff singing 'YMCA.' She gives in, and goes to ask her parents for money, only to find they've turned her room into a gym. Monica and Rachel go to clean out Monica's room, where they find an old Prom video, on which Ross steps in when Rachel's date does not show. Reminded of the event, Rachel finally gives Ross a chance. Joey, newly rich from his soap opera gig, gives Chandler a gold bracelet as a sign of thanks, which Chandler can't stand.

THE ONE WHERE ROSS AND RACHEL...YOU KNOW (Episode 39)
Ross and Rachel's romance begins, although Rachel giggles whenever they kiss, and Ross is called away from their first evening with an emergency at the museum. Rachel goes along, and they spend the night under the stars in the Planetarium. Monica caters a party for Dr. Burke, a family friend, and although he is twenty years Monica's senior, the two begin to date. Joey buys a 35-inch TV and two leather chairs, and he and Chandler spend their time watching the tube and ordering food.

THE ONE WHERE JOEY MOVES OUT (Episode 40)
Now that he's making a real salary, Joey decides it's time to move out. Chandler is hurt, but lashes out in anger, and the two have a huge fight. Although they patch things up, Joey still elects to move. Now deep in her relationship, Monica and Dr. Burke angst over breaking the news she's dating a far-older man, and a family friend, to her parents and the gang. Meanwhile, Rachel gets a tattoo.

THE ONE WHERE EDDIE MOVES IN (Episode 41)
Joey moves into his new apartment, but realizes his life is boring without Chandler. He decides to move back in, only to find Chandler has a new roommate, Eddie. Joey and Chandler end up pining for one another like long-lost lovers. With Ross and Rachel's relationship in full-swing, Ross is over all the time, unearthing old issues of sibling rivalry between him and Monica. A producer hears Phoebe's 'Smelly Cat' at the coffee house, and offers her a music video deal.

THE ONE WHERE DR. RAMORAY DIES (Episode 42)
Chandler's despair over losing Joey worsens, especially when his roommate turns out to be a little crazy. Joey's 'Dr. Ramoray' takes a fall down an elevator shaft, after making some inappropriate comments in a soap opera magazine. Monica and Rachel find themselves locked in their bedrooms, each with her boyfriend, having their first lover's quarrel. Eventually, both work out, and Monica and Rachel end up in the bathroom, fighting over the remaining condom.

THE ONE WHERE EDDIE WON'T GO (Episode 43)
After being fired from 'Days,' Joey wonders what to do with his career, and his staggering credit card bill. Eddie continues to drive Chandler nuts, promising to move out, and then denying any knowledge of the promise. Chandler decides to get even, by changing the locks. When Eddie can't get it, Chandler says he's never seen Eddie, and he already has a roommate, Joey! Meanwhile, the girls are inspired by a feminist book.

THE ONE WHERE OLD YELLER DIES (Episode 44)
Upset that he's missed many of Ben's 'firsts,' Ross asks Carol and Susan to have Ben for the whole weekend, where Rachel explains she's uncomfortable around the baby. Ross says she'll feel comfortable when they have their own, which leads to a heated debate, where Ross says he's involved for the long haul. Monica begs Chandler and Joey to hang out with Richard. Although originally intimated by his age, they have a blast, Joey smokes a pipe like Richard, Chandler grows a mustache like Richard, and Richard spends his time playing foosball. Phoebe learns that Old Yeller dies, a secret her mother kept from her, as well as that ET goes home, Rocky loses, and Charlotte dies.

THE ONE WITH THE BULLIES (Episode 45)
Phoebe sees several signs that it's time to meet her father. When she gets to his house with Joey and Rachel, however, she's kept back by a big dog, and decides this is a sign to leave, until she runs the dog over. Forced to face her father, she unexpectedly encounters his second wife, who says he skipped out on her, too. However, Phoebe does learn she has a half-brother. Chandler and Ross are picked on by two guys at the coffee shop, and discuss how to deal with adult bullies. Monica tries desperately not to take a job as a singing chef, until she loses big in the stock market.

THE ONE WITH TWO PARTIES (Episode 46)
It's Rachel birthday, and Monica fight with the guys whether to throw a wine and poached salmon party, or a pizza and beer party. Monica elects for wine and salmon, but the guys throw a beer and pizza party at their place, which turns out to be the rager, and Monica's the bore. Phoebe works as a 'secret agent,' funneling people to the guy's apartment. Meanwhile, Monica's uninvited father, Leonard, arrives, and Ross tries unsuccessfully to bond with him, while keeping him clear of Monica's mother, Sandra, as they are in the midst of a divorce.

THE ONE WITH CHICKEN POX (Episode 47)
Chandler offers Joey a job at his office, under the assumption that Joey can play the part of 'Joseph, the Data Processor,' with a house and 2.5 kids. Joey is a nightmare, and the only way Chandler can fire him is by threatening to sleep with 'Joesph's' wife. Richard and Monica get to the point where they forgive each other for their neurotic tendencies, a huge step for both. Ryan, an old flame of Phoebe's, is on leave from the Navy for two weeks, but Phoebe catches chicken pox from Ben. However, Ryan would rather give in to the pox than be away from Phoebe, and their weeks of romance end up becoming a constant need for calamine lotion.

THE ONE WITH BARRY AND MINDY'S WEDDING - SEASON FINALE (Episode 48)
Rachel plays bride's maid at Barry, her ex-fiancee, and Mindy's, her ex-best friend, wedding, and is distraught to find Barry has told everyone she's crazy. Rachel sits through a humiliating toast at dinner, when Ross makes a romantic, but inappropriate, toast to her in response. Chandler meets his dream girl on the internet, and it turns out to be Janis. Joey gets a part in a Warren Beatty film, but has to kiss a man. He practices on Phoebe, asks to practice on Chandler, but ultimately Gunther, from the coffee shop, aggress to let a fellow actor practice his trade. Richard and Monica talk about getting married, but Richard's a little unsure, as he's been down that road three times. He tells Monica he's willing to make concessions, but the relationship is doomed, and it's no one's fault.
