| " Do Do DO Do DO Do DO Do Do DO DO.......... NO more stop the DO DO DO DO DO DO DO DO AHHHHHHHHHHHH" Well 3eb's first cd was very catchy in that everyone kept on singing that god forbidden DODODOs over and over from that song "Semi Charmed Kind Of Life". This cd is different in that nothing is really catchy unless you want to keep on saying Anything over and over again. Also some of the lyrics are just well....... stupid:"Give me a minute or two to figure out my state/ she's ten days late. Now the light hearted guitar sound in this is a lot like that of their debut. I found some "harder" rock in songs like "Darkness" and the AC/DC inspired "Red Summer Sun". The cd is a change for 3eb and I think a good change because I was not very fond of the catchy debut album. If you like them because of the debut, you could be disappointed. The single is probably a good chance. It serves as the only song remotely like the first cd. Maybe after listening to it a couple of times you will get used to it but again it isnt a good overall album. There are some songs which I could not stand anymore. Finally in review the music being played itself is simple but entertaining and the bass does almost nothing. This cd could have been better with more songs like "The Red Summer Sun". Rating: 2 1/2 stars out of 5 I would give "Anything" to not have to listen to those STUPID DODODODOS anymore no more! |
