God's Masterpiece

I ventured to the shore of a silver sea,
and stood where her mighty waves tumbled ashore,
And seeing that I was quite alone,
I felt the uncertain presence of many more.

So quickly I walked along sea drenched sands,
And she poured her foam softly about my feet,
And I smiled at the tickle around my heels,
When beneath me water into the sand would seep.

And the shells on that very strand would gleam,
As the sun cast her rays on their satiny tops,
And waves crashed and tumbled to the shore,
Then retreated, leaving evidence in only tiny drops.

And the changing patterns of sea swept sands,
Surprised me each time she wiped the last canvas clean,
And then paint but a different art work there,
By shifting the sands created a whole new scene.

And the gulls above seem to laugh at me,
For my awe with the artist seemed to be quite odd,
I knew the gulls would never find this Maestro,
For only His work was evidence of where He'd trod.

And further down the shore till dusk I strolled,
To where the sun reached down and painted the sea,
In delicate shades of reds and pinks and blues,
Then she gently poured her palate of colors on me.

And bathed in this beauty that nature conceived,
I was flattered to be a role in this work of art,
For there was I painted in Gods own hand,
On His canvas where He made me a part.

The Tiny Point of Light

there is a place inside our heart,
that keeps us close in love,
and in that place a point of light,
that's kept by God above.

and if we keep our eyes upon,
that tiny point of light,
we'll find the strength to take us through,
the darkness of the night.

it makes no difference if our paths,
are bumpy, smooth, or straight,
but simply that the point of light,
will guide us to our fate.

no matter if your days are long,
or if they're filled with tears,
that tiny dot of pin point light,
will guide you through the years.

so trust that He will guide you through,
you'll never leave His sight,
for the greatest gift from God above,
is that tiny point of light.
