Monday Nitro started off with a few clips from last nights Pay Per View. Then backstage we saw Flair. Flair said that later tonight Steiners opponent(s) would be named for his next title defense.
Shane Helms vs. Shannon Moore Moore hit a nice hurricanrhana to Helms on the outside of the ring. Back inside Helms powerslammed Moore off of the top rope. Shane dropped a huge elbow to the back of Moores neck, then he won the match with his finisher. After the match Helms tried to help Moore up but Chavo came in and attacked them both. Helms fought back and hit his finisher on Chavo to fight him off. Winner- Shane Helms Lance Storm vs. Rey Jr. This is a qualifying match for the main event 3-Way Dance with Steiner tonight. Storm started working on Reys shoulder. He repeatedly drove his knee right into it. On the outside Rey whipped Lance into the guardrail to no effect. The two went back in the ring where Rey knocked Lance out and then hit a somersault plancha. Later in the match Storm rolled Rey up out of nowhere into the Canadian Maple Leaf to win the match.Winner- Lance Storm
WCW Hardcore Title Meng w/ Kwee Wee and Paisley vs. Terry Funk (c)Funk on the Nitrovision, calls out Meng. So Meng runs to the back. Funk and Meng begin to brawl near a fence. Meng hits him with a trash lid after Funk insults him. Meng is in control so far. They go into the ring. Weapons are all in the ring. Funk is laid out on the table, Meng to the top rope, splash but Funk moves. Meng back up, Tongan Death Grip! Here comes Crowbar, hits Meng with a wrench, Funk falls on top for the cover.Winner - Terry Funk
That 70's Guy Mike Awesome vs. Jeff Jarrett Awesome nailed a huge back body drop, then the match went to the outside. Jarrett whipped Awesome into the guardrail and then smashed a chair across his back. Awesome fought back with rapid fists and then a huge elbow to the chest. Awesome went to powerbomb Jarrett but he got a low blow. Jarrett got a guitar and went to hit Awesome, but Awesome suplexed him. On the outside Jarrett pulled out another guitar and hit him with it to win.Winner - Jeff Jarrett
The Cat vs. Alex Wright The Cat took Wright to the outside and chopped away at him. Then he started using Karate kicks on him. Inside the ring Wright put Cat into an armbar move. The Cat fought out of the move and punched Wright in the chest. The Cat clotheslined Wright and then hit his Fe-Liner to win the match. Winner - The Cat
Goldberg vs. Buff Bagwell Above Average Mike Sanders came out and started talking a bunch of crap on everyone. Pointless really. Flair came out and made a Battle Royal for Thunder, whoever wins faces someone at Sin. Before the match started Buff and Luger attacked Goldberg. Then Sarge ran out to save him. He took a chair shot to the head for his troubles. Goldberg got up and Luger ran off with Buff. Winner - Goldberg
Jeff Jarrett vs. Lance StormStorm went for a suplex on Jarrett but he escaped. Then Storm climbed to the top rope and Jarrett knocked his feet out from under him. Later in the match Storm rolled Jarrett into the Canadian Maple Leaf, but Jarrett got a hold of the ropes. Jarrett beat Storm to his feet and quickly hit The Stroke on Storm to win.Winner - Jeff Jarrett
Mystery ManAfter the match Scott Steiner is shown looking for Ric Flair. With his shiny pipe in hand, he heads to the back to locate him. He spotted him at the end of a hallway and walked towards him. Just as he got near the door, a goof in a stripped straight jacket attacked him.
